Despite all the crap going on, I have managed to get some time and brain focus together enough to make significant progress on my current story project. I've just completed the last of the work needed on my four subplots, with roughly 20,000 words worth of notes and scenes for each, give or take (one is a a few thousand words shorter, and one is a few thousand longer, so overall they more or less reach my 80,000 word target).

Sorry for the delay on this one, had some stuff come up but I finally found time to finish it. This one’s got a mix of slice of life and lore stuff, and some of it will play a larger role in the story itself going forward.

This chapter was another fun one to write, and ultimately got a lot more of the character development stuff than I originally planned on including. Dare I say, this was one of my favorite chapters I’ve ever written, and I’m excited to write more in the future! A big criticism I had received with the story was that the intro was hard to get through and turned people away, so I’ve since gone back and rewrote the very start of it and hopefully in a way that adds more of an emotional connection to the main character while also making the direction the story is going in a little more clear. I might poke at the second and third chapters eventually too, but the prologue was the part in need of the most work, so I hope you all enjoy it!
