I have a question for everyone who reads the "Shadows and Stars" series · 3:21pm Jun 30th, 2023
When the Tale of one Evening's Waltz draws to a close, wouldst ye be'est intrigued by an idea such as one anthology of purely comedic slice-of-life side stories, as companion tales to the Tale of Sombra's Bat? A friend of mine was curious.

I just have this awareness that there is a lot to Sombra and Moonlight's lives which I don't get to explore because of, well, Celestia and the Crystal War. Sombra's Bat and Fire and Shadows are both the serious stories about the events of the war and the dark side of magic and betrayal and all the other nasty stuff. If I were to write some side stories, I'd include a bit more wholesome romance and other cute slice of life stuff. Also, I believe the world needs to hear about the seven ways Cozy Glow almost set the castle on fire...

Lol. Your requests for Evening's Waltz, Sombra's Bat and Fire and Shadows to have the Comedy tag actually inspired me a bit. Considering I'm mostly just a crackfic writer these days, why not have some wholesome trying-to-convince-Cozy-not-to-commit-arson alongside the more serious stuff?

It would, but that's sort of what I'd be aiming for. The main stories are for the dark and dramatic events. It would be wrong to add in too much slice of life stuff that wasn't relevant to the main overarching plot. The side stories would be for additional worldbuilding and exploring the characters' personalities in greater depth, as well as giving me something more comedic and less depressing to focus on
