Okay, so the holiday season is over, and it's a brand new year. With that being said, I'm back home and back to both following up with medical appointments and working on writing.
Chapter 11 is, for the most part, finished, and chapter 12 is largely fleshed out. However, so much of these two play into each other that finishing 12 required rewriting portions of 11, which worked out for the best (I did have some down time while on vacation).
So it's my B-day today, I'm officially another year older. And before you ask, just as I mentioned in the last blog, I'd currently prefer to keep my age private.
Anyway, so I have no idea how to celebrate, but thank you for all of the lovely birthday wishes! It is very much appreciated, you wonderful people you.
My wish is that you all have a wonderful day today, (some Jse merch would be nice too,) and I once again thank you.
And now to play this awesome remix on repeat.
Nova Quill once again comes through and delivers some tasty artwork from a couple of my fics! Spoiler warning for those who haven't read For the Mare Who Has Everything, but this piece takes place pretty late in the story where everything gets unnervingly real.
WHERE DID ALL OF THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?
In all seriousness, though, you guys are awesome. I won't say that you're the reason I keep going, because I can barely even remember all of your names and I've had conversations with about half of you, but you sure are people that care about my words.

Y’know, in the last few months I’ve heard a number of people talk about how the fandom’s dying, especially with the rumor that the show is nearing its official end (Is that still a rumor? Nobody’s confirmed it yet?). While I acknowledge that the fandom has shrunk in the last few years, I for one do not think it will ever outright die. I suspect FIMFiction will be around for a good long while. Just look at other fandoms that are still around.
So after redecorating my room up a bit today, I got word that my fist batch of posters will be arriving this week with any luck. Super excited to see the quality of the product!
I finally defeated the Destroyer in Terraria tonight. Nuimbus Rod and Demon Scythe spellbook totally annihilated that bastard worm for good. I can kill three of the assholes in one night now. WOOT!
John Ford's penultimate Western serves as a dark deconstruction of the mythology of the Old West, and a mediation on how the difference between fact and myth is often a thin, blurry line, easily lost to the mists of time.
I foresaw this incoming for several weeks now. The total view of the prologue to "The Shadow Queen" finally exceeding the total views of my most viewed chapter of "Sky Dancer". I'm not mad about this. It's simply a learning experience. I guess that proves that the numerous new writing strategies I have for my new story is effective which
So...Princess Cadence and Prince Generic are going to have a baby...as long as they don't name it Skyla, I'm perfectly fine with that. Also, I wonder how a certain Shadow King is going to react to this. Who knows?
The Coen Brothers, eclectic as always, take on film noir in this hyper subdued, intentionally self serious yet absurd deconstruction of the film noir genre, where, in playing the standard tropes and motifs of the genre dead straight, stretching them to the point where they snap back on themselves. It's a dense, cerebral film, and one that, while lacking the gonzo charms of, say, O Brother, Where Art Thou? or The Hudsucker Proxy, still manages to be a fascinating work of art, and a
I rarely do episode reviews, though I made an exception for “A Royal Problem.” I’m making another exception, though, so it’s time to look at one of the most lore-filled episodes of the show’s run as I explain why I... don’t really care for it.
Don’t you look at Best Pony that way, you jerk.
Another voiced episode. I'm getting some good practice in.
EDIT: Okay, because I don't feel like I did this one enough justice, I want to take some time here to explain why I love this subject so much.
