Mah Seattle excursion went off pretty well. Had some fun, saw some cool cosplay, spent a ton of money on all sorts of crap...ya know, had a fun vacation! Hahaha.
Can I just share with you all some of the silly things I've found myself typing into my Google bar these past few days? I assure you, it was all in the pursuit of writing research. Still makes me laugh, though.
It's Friday! And it has gotten to be a bit better in terms of me writing! Work hasn't been exhausting, which is good.
So, I've been wondering... What is the thing that people enjoy reading here the most? As I've found out in my posting, is that slightly more serious stories have been the thing people enjoy most. It's interesting for sure.
I've been super busy lately. However, I've managed to push out the second part of my entry for the worldbuilding contest. Since the deadline is tomorrow at midnight, I've tried to arrange things so I'll have the last chapter done by then. Until then, enjoy the second chapter. This story hasn't gotten nearly as much attention as some of my other recent stories, despite it being more in line with my usual writing and with more ties to my longer works. If you like island getaways, G1 references,
This week, it’s a two-part look at a noble but ultimately failed attempt to rid a world of a truly terrible Twilight. Let’s see how she ruins another universe.
Slight spoilers below the break.
Low-key stressed flutterbutter for low-key stressed mood.
Chapter 55 posted in The Runaway Bodyguard. Violence tag applies, definitely. Next: Starlight’s life will change. Another warning tag applies. Definitely.
Hey, all! Thanks so much for making The Barcast as big as it is! But we need your help. We want to hit that magical 1.1k sub goal and if you haven't subbed, what are you waiting for?
So I have pretty much completed the next chapter (monday) of Plagued by Doubt.
But,
There are two major scenes in this chapter that just don't feel right. They feel off, out of character almost.
These two scenes need revision but that shouldn't take long (maybe).
Ah know Ah've been quiet for a little while here, but been busy with a bunch of stuff: work, Persona 4 Dancing All Night, playing through modded FALLOUT 3 before 4 comes out, and, oh yeah! Working on the story!
Ah've actually been writing to the next chapter while also proofreading the current one to be posted, so hopefully mah delays won't be too spread out.
It has taken longer than Ah originally expected it to, but at long last Ah finished it.
Still gotta proof it, and tweak a few things no doubt, but this one...oh man. This one was something else to write. There's quite a bit going on with it, but what it will lead to are many things Ah cannot wait to put mah own spin on.
So soon, mah followers, soon it will drop.
And lemme tell you fine folks, it's a big one. Haha!
Well, even though it hasn't been a full year, I did join FiMFiction in 2015 and I figure the New Year is as good a milestone to mark as anything else. Plus, considering it's Isaac Asimov's birthday today and my main project is all about a friendly robot, I figure this is a good enough day to mark the occasion.
"These mutton chops are Three Laws compliant."
Sorry for going so silent there, guys. But, uh, a lot of stuff kinda came up, unfortunately.
Work, home life, mah own health...ya know, all that fun stuff.
But! Despite all that, this is a post of good news!
So, as most of ya might be aware, the Southern East Coast is getting pummeled by Hurricane Matthew.
And thus, Ah don't have work cause the weather is pretty gnarly.
Ah, "The Conversion Bureau." Along with the "Displaced" genre and "Anon" stories, Conversion Bureau stories are a type of story I generally dislike. There are exceptions, but they're pretty few and far between. As in I've read exactly one story in each of these categories where I've had neutral to positive feelings about. The subject of this review is less of a Conversion Bureau story and more of a so-called "deconstruction" of the genre. Fillies and gentlecolts, ladies and gents, I give
So, it seems my latest story "The Reality I Choose," has had a pretty warm reception! To the tune of... oh. 117 bookshelf additions and 6 new followers. Um...
Let's try this again. After yesterday's miserable attempt, I'm going to be working on Chapter 6 and y'all are welcome to see!
