Friendship is Magic first impressions review: Horse Play (s08e07)

Twilight gives Celestia the leading role in a play, despite Celestia's lack of acting talent. Already this comes off weird. Celestia's been a ruler for over a millennium, presumably having talked to thousands of crowds, yet can't get her voice right on stage. I'll give it a slight pass, but this season has had a lot of awkward story beats with characters.

I’m surely not the first one to notice how strange this whole Friendship School looks like. Of course the target audience would hardly notice analogies like this, they would just ask their parents about more pony toys. But really, I can see at least a missionary school and at most a group of hostages to force other countries follow ponies’ friendship policy.

Hello again. Chapter 5 of Magic School Zord is done. This is the chapter I have been looking forward the most to writing. I love when Trixie and Corona interact. They are a great foil for each other. One thing I never expected is just how much Spike would grow to dislike Trixie. It isn't something I really planned, but I love how it worked out. Trixie is very bad at meeting people. Every first encounter seems to go poorly somehow.

Hello again. I have a new story. It's called Magic School Zord. It stars Cheerilee. As the name implies, it's about Cheerilee using her Zord for a fantastical school trip. Where? The moon of course!
