I just don't understand some people.....

I was only out to buy some simple things today. I had some change left and I went to a nearby park to give it to a homeless person. I couldn't find one and went back to the train station and mall where I started. A man was standing there in front of the entrance, with heavy luggage, a huge backpack and a big suitcase. He asked me for change and said he has no place to sleep. I was unsure about

    I miss these glorious Saturdays.....

I have seen this thread in the Crossover group about saturday morning cartoon openings (that's now deleted) in my feed and it triggered it..... Watching a new episode, waiting for an upload, downloading it, rewatching it 3 - 5 times, writing an analytical review of the episode

Selfishness has been my wrong motivator for the longest time..... and people don't see who I really am because of that.

A lot of people in the fandom don't understand who I am and think of me as a bad person. My friend sometimes does, too, and doesn't trust me anymore because of that. There have been moments when she literally asked me "Who are you?". I was always thinking this was stemming from trust issues that she developed because of events in her past and I was only marginally attributing the cause for this

Analysis is Magic: Will Chancellor Neighsay become Equestria's Most Dangerous Enemy of All Time? · 12:26am Jul 15th, 2018

A few days ago, I was rewatching "School Daze" to give the episode some more thoughts, because there is quite a lot to see in it and a lot that invites you to deeply think about it. One sentence in particular stuck out to me:

"Everypony should be prepared to defend our way of life."

This sentence got me thinking and it gave me chills. It's a statement that troubles me, because it shows that Chancellor Neighsay believes that Equestria is in serious danger from getting attacked or invaded by other nations or kingdoms and that he is willing to defend Equestria against outside threats no matter the cost. This is a very radical and extremist statement, because it implies the fear that members of other nations who come to Equestria could change its lifestyle and culture. And here on Earth, history has seen often enough where such extremist thinking can lead to.
Towards the end of the episode, Neighsay was suggesting that Twilight's idea of running a school that teaches not only ponies, but also other creatures from nations all around the world, and to let said creatures into Equestria for that purpose, could destroy Equestria.
Both of these extreme statements combined, as well as his behavior towards creatures who aren't ponies we have seen throughout the episode, make clear that he sees other creatures as nothing but a threat for Equestria. This is an unsettling prospect, because, that he views other creatures as such a threat means that he also is of the opinion that something should be done against those other creatures and the nations they come from, eventually. And that he thinks this, also means that he might put matters into his own hooves and do something against other creatures by himself one day.
Now, Chancellor Neighsay is thankfully not in a high enough position of power that he could go and do something like this. He does not rule over Equestria, Celestia and Luna do, and compared to them, his political power over Equestria is very little.
However, as history has shown, extremists like him are capable to do a lot to help their agenda and there are a few things Chancellor Neighsay could do to stop what he perceives as a threat:

- One of the things that came to my mind, is, he could simply rile up a lot, if not all, of Equestria's population against creatures from other nations. Earth has a very prominent example of someone having done such a thing in its own history and everyone knows how this ended. Chancellor Neighsay could use the worries that many ponies in Equestria feel after the Storm King's invasion to rise fears of other nations and their races in them, by simply talking to them and using the right speeches that will trigger said fears in them.
If this would be his plan and he would succeed with it, a situation would get created where Celestia and Luna find themselves under heavy pressure by their own subjects to protect Equestria from the other nations, whether there is an actual reason for that or not, and if they refuse, would be met with a lot of protests against them and riots as a result of that. They could even be confronted with demands to leave the throne if they "aren't willing to do what needs to be done to protect Equestria".
Eventually, if such a situation would arise, Celestia and Luna would have no other choices than to either step down as rulers or to go to war with the other nations to satisfy their subjects', and Chancellor Neighsay's, demands.

- If Celestia and Luna would decide to step down, because they do not want to lead Equestria into a war, this would be an ideal chance for Neighsay..... Without Celestia and Luna on the throne, but with the masses celebrating him as the one who "says the things that need to be said", he would have it easy to climb the throne and then lead Equestria into that war himself.
At this point, nopony in Equestria would object to any of this, so, whether Celestia and Luna would decide to go to war or to leave the throne, there would be no way to prevent Equestria from a war with the rest of Equus if it would come so far.

- Another possibility is, that Neighsay takes a more direct approach to his goal and enacts an assault on Celestia and Luna, that leaves them wounded or even dead, and then blames this assault on Gallus, Yona, Smolder, Ocellus and Silverstream.
He could leave evidence that makes it look like they are behind the assault and then he would only have to lean back and watch in satisfaction how the remaining or new government of Equestria concludes that the griffons, yaks, dragons, changelings and hippogriffs only sent their youth to the school so that they can attack Equestria's rulers via instructions given to them, to weaken Equestria and to prepare an invasion.
With Celestia and Luna severely injured or dead (and, therefore, conveniently out of the way of Neighsay's plan) and the population of Equestria being fearful and nervous because of this, he wouldn't have anything to do anymore to convince Equestria that a first strike is necessary, before Griffonstone, Yakyakistan, the Dragon Lands, the Changeling Kingdom and the Hippogriff Kingdom attack Equestria and destroy it. Not to mention that an imprisonment of Gallus, Yona, Smolder, Ocellus and Silverstream that would inevitably follow, would inspire the other five nations, who know that they are innocent, to go to war, as well, to clean their name and to free the students they sent.
Everything would unfold by itself at this point.

- Lastly, Chancellor Neighsay could attack Twilight's school somehow; destroying parts of the building and leaving several pony students injured and then, blame this attack on Gallus, Yona, Smolder, Ocellus and Silverstream again. This would not be enough to convince Equestria that an invasion by their home nations is imminent and that they were sent to prepare this invasion, but it would be enough to turn the mood in regards to griffons, yaks, dragons, changelings and hippogriffs around.
In the hostile atmosphere that would get created by this, it would be a very easy thing for Neighsay to get Celestia and Luna to do more things to protect Equestria from the other five nations, including once again locking up the students they sent, until it might culminate in a war again, in a scenario very similar to the first one I described.

There are ways for Chancellor Neighsay to turn the situation in his favor. And while attacking Celestia and Luna, the rulers of the land he wants to protect, might seem unlikely at first, this is the exact kind of thing an extremist like him would do. His strong sense of protection for Equestria, and the fear that other nations will destroy it, could very well make him think that it would be a sacrifice for the "greater good" of Equestria. For an extremist like him, the end often justifies the means.

Personally, I think that Chancellor Neighsay will choose the last plan in this list. Making it look like Gallus, Yona, Smolder, Ocellus and Silverstream committed a serious crime would be the most effective and the most easy way to achieve his goal and, while he could be trusted to assault Celestia and Luna, the Friendship School is also the object of his hatred after Twilight rebelled against him and the EEA. So, blinded by this hatred, he will most likely choose the school as his target instead of doing what would be the most effective course of action.

But whatever Chancellor Neighsay should decide for, his extremism poses a threat. And unlike Nightmare Moon, Discord, Chrysalis, King Sombra or other enemies that attacked Equestria in the past, he is a threat that comes from inside of Equestria. The same could be said for Starlight Glimmer, as she had founded her village inside Equestria's borders and wanted to indoctrinate all of Equestria with her ideology from there. But unlike Neighsay, Starlight Glimmer was not a part of Equestria's government. Neighsay, however, is. Even though he is not ruling Equestria, he and the EEA are part of Equestria's political system.
Chancellor Neighsay operates from Equestria's inner, political circle and could use political influence he might have to enact a dark plan. He is in a position to destroy Equestria from the inside and that will make him the most dangerous enemy Equestria ever had.
