Hello everyone... And... Welcome... Back... To... ... ... THE QUESTION OF THE WEEK!
This week, I seek to discuss something that poppedinto my mind at work and apparently is a thing. This being Halloween beach parties. For some reason it popped into my head and I had to wonder if there was such a thing. Apparently it is. Therefore, I asked myself, why hasn't anyone written a Nightmare Night story that is also a beach party (maybe someone has, but as far as I know it hasn't)?
Hello everyone. So initially I wasn't sure that I'd be able to create an actual Halloween themed story this year... however then Nailah posted a blog on a Halloween Contest and while I wasn't sure I was going to participate, I thought about some ideas and now here we are. š<-- Robipony hiding in plane sight.
Alternate titles: Fear, Part One, Life ā Didnāt go with the first one because I was still in āName the chapter after its central themeā mode, and Ch.8(Tension) isnāt exactly about āfearā so much as the lingering awkwardness or dare I sayā¦? Tension between Smolder, Gallus, and Silverstream.
Hello dear viewer of this blog.
Happy 2 days after Nightmare Night. I hope you liked my Nightmare Night fic (if you didn't read, please go read and give a like / comment - let me know what you thought!)
All but one, anyway. So far, the chapter seems to be a hit, leaving us on schedule for a Halloween night release. It'll be a shorter chapter (around 9k words) than those I've released earlier in the year, but that's because itās a prelude to a much longer and more intense one to come.
It's April, which means it's time for the annual Horror Write-Off I run every year, Nightmare Night in April!
The event is simple: in order to encourage more horror writing, I hold a write-off event in which anyone can submit a Horror Story, to be compiled by April 30th, the opposite day of the year from Halloween!
Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week. Kind of doing it early, while I have a question(s) on my mind.
Well, the story contest has concluded and now the 7 entries that made it will be judged.
I've also managed to finish my Nightmare Night themed Hitch x Zipp story and now I'm just waiting on my proofreaders/editors.
Yep, four more days until Halloween, how fun is that? Well, if you couldn't guess, today the fourth chapter of Don't Lose Your Head came out.
The party is reaching it's conclusion and the mystery is coming to a head...
Anyway please come check out the last chapter of this thrilling tale.
For those who haven't seen my post about it a few days ago, it is once again April, and as I've done for the last few years, I'm running my horror event, possibly for the last time...
Happy Halloween, everyone!
Correction: tonight is the festivity known as Nightmare Night. This festivity involves organics dressing in costumes for the purpose of frightening others or merely to reference media they find enjoyable. Many organics seem to enjoy things which acknowledge the existence of other things.
Hey folks! First, a general update: I did indeed have my eye surgery last Friday, and like Fell Flight, though my vision was temporarily worsened and the double-vision not entirely corrected afterwards, it's been getting steadily better as time passes and the swelling goes down. A week on, I'm pleased to report my double-vision was almost entirely eliminated and what's left of it is close enough that my mind and/or eye muscles can compensate. In short, I have binocular vision again without
I'm around, but in pain.
Last Friday, I had a minor medical procedure called Radiofrequency Ablation--basically involving microwaving the back of my tongue under partial sedation. The purpose of it is to cause the internal tissues of the tongue to tighten by basically roasting them, helping to open the airway--I'm still suffering a bit of obstructive sleep apnea even after the jaw advancement surgery I had a couple years ago.
Or actually, just my two-month writing plan from here through Halloween:
I have around 5500 words on the new chapter and three of four sections completed, though the 4th--the all-important Peregrine section--I have yet to start. I expect to finish it this weekend; depending on how quickly it comes (no pun intended) there's at least an outside chance the chapter will launch on Sunday.
Fluttercheer here, with an important service announcement. What you will read here is something I wasn't originally going to write, but since I'm silent here for about two and a half weeks now, I figured it will be best if I tell what's going on to inform my followers and the few, brave diehards who read Aegis.
It currently stands at 8500 words and will likely be over 10k when all is said and done. For that reason, Iām considering splitting it into two parts to give the climactic third section its own chapter and focus, same as I did for the Blossomforth/Cloud Kicker scene. Weāll see what my prereaders say on that score. If so, Iād simply release the two halves a couple days apart, and donāt worry; the second section has some sexytimes of its own!
Trying to get my head back in the game after the series finale, writing has begun on the new Nightmare Night chapter, though Leo Archon and I will have our work cut out getting it done in time for Halloween, with the former working on at least one section. Unfortunately, we won't quite reach the story climax like I originally planned, as a little more scene-setting is necessary to get all the pieces
It's been a long and patient climb. But for reaching that milestone, a slight change in plans and yet another question to readers:
On the next Nightmare Night chapter, as motivation to write has been lacking of late due to a variety of reasons, both professional and personal. Nevertheless, it's coming along bit by bit. To this point, I've finished about 2500 words and close to two sections of it, but the primary two sections regarding the battle between Night Owl and Shadowdash remains to be written.
