TLaTU Part 37 release this weekend... · 9:33pm Dec 15th, 2017
Hey folks! First, a general update: I did indeed have my eye surgery last Friday, and like Fell Flight, though my vision was temporarily worsened and the double-vision not entirely corrected afterwards, it's been getting steadily better as time passes and the swelling goes down. A week on, I'm pleased to report my double-vision was almost entirely eliminated and what's left of it is close enough that my mind and/or eye muscles can compensate. In short, I have binocular vision again without heavy coke-bottle glasses and I love it! The only lingering cost is a severely red eye that means I give the evil eye to everyone I meet, and some lingering soreness that only required painkillers on the first couple days. I'm told both will subside over a period of two weeks.
While waiting to heal, I've been forced to use some old glasses I had from six years ago that didn't have the 'prisming' that was required to correct my double-vision, meaning the prescription is otherwise well out-of-date and putting some strain on me. I'll be getting a new prescription next week, and will order new glasses shortly thereafter for what I hope will be the last time--I plan this operation to be a precursor to getting Lasik later next year so I can abandon glasses entirely.
In any event, I have indeed been writing during my convalescence and am still trying to get the next TLaTU chapter ready to go. I'm sorry for the delay, but it's just not been coming quickly and surgical post-op pain doesn't exactly lend itself to clop. Though now over 9000 words long, it's been giving me fits the whle way, and the reason is that for the story's grand finale, I'm trying to write what's easily the most complicated and involved scene I've ever attempted--and for me, that's saying a lot!
But it will be finished, and hopefully very much worth the wait! At this point, I'm aiming for a late weekend release; most likely point for it is Sunday morning--which is actually my favorite time to publish because I'm most likely to feature and my story will stay on the front page the longest due to less site activity. TLaTU has never featured, of course, but no matter. It's been a fun ride and I'd like to thank those who still follow it for sticking with it the whole way!
A teaser? Sorry, but this time, I want readers to come in cold. Hints? Well, aside from Celly's promised 'punishment', you may recall that Twilight's friends are still waiting for her promised call... And after this, I'm planning for an Xmas release of the next Unleash the Magic - Nightmare Night chapter. Happy Hearth's Warming folks...
There's no way that can be right! Regardless I look forward to it.
