Moving right along... · 7:41pm Oct 23rd, 2019
Trying to get my head back in the game after the series finale, writing has begun on the new Nightmare Night chapter, though Leo Archon and I will have our work cut out getting it done in time for Halloween, with the former working on at least one section. Unfortunately, we won't quite reach the story climax like I originally planned, as a little more scene-setting is necessary to get all the pieces in place.
Expect a lot of perspective switching, one major new scene, and things between Nightmarity and Eclipse to begin reaching a head. How'd you like to know who and what The Nightmare actually is and where she came from? This chapter will explain, as is turns out Twilight did her homework on her after her original possession of Rarity.
Updates and possible preview will follow later. Though I've only got a couple thousand words written thus far, be assured it will be finished and there will be a release on Halloween to mark the story's two-year anniversary.
In other news, I tried to submit my latest story, The Best and The Worst, to the Equestria Daily. They rejected it because the guy called it--get this--a 'travelogue', which I consider completely ridiculous. Ah well. I was actually warned they had some very odd standards and this would seem to confirm it. Nevertheless, if you haven't already read it, feel free to give it a try--it might even be considered seasonal, as you might find the idea of Twilight visiting Chernobyl to be a spooky and suspenseful Halloween-type story.
I'm still looking for a 60th like on it, so if you're curious, at 15.7k words it's very bite-sized and well-researched, and I think both Twilight's reactions and Celestia's initially-unknown reasons for bringing her there are valid.
Anyway... onward and upwards. The series may over, but the storytelling continues. Later!
Travelogue.
Travelogue.
I mean, yes, I suppose that's one way to describe a walking tour of fing Chernobyl, but still.
YOUR WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED. UNTIL THE NEXT SUMMONING.

But still, it’s one of the stupidest pieces of feedback I’ve ever received.

Wow! And I didn’t even have to rub a lamp or anything!
Thank you very much!

I was more going for a Dragon Ball joke, but that works too.
I hate when people try to narrowly define art to suit their taste.

I was a huge DBZ fan, so I should have seen that immediately.

Sometimes I think people become reviewers just to try to impose their tastes and narrow definitions of art on others.

That's entirely why a lot of people do it, totally agree.
