I am first going to admit that Self-Inserts have never been my cup of tea. Even when I was a teenager and young man participating in role-playing games, I preferred pretending to be someone else. But I do think that it is possible to write a self-insert reasonably well and here I will briefly discuss how to do it.

Also, some people have pointed out my grammar could use some work in that fic and I think that's part of the reason some people disliked it. If any of you guys are good editors and want to help, drop a message and maybe future one-shot fics I make might be of PERFECT GRAMMAR! A story I've been working on sporadically for over a year is finally complete and published. Jake the Army Guy lit a fire under my chair with his Jake The Army Guy's Horse Words Extravaganza contest. Chrysalis, former Queen of the Changelings and now Friendship Intern, had been reading some books on beekeeping while her little Changelings played in a playpen nearby. Shepherd sighed.
