It took a lot of re-writes, but the next chapter of Family is finally done and has been published.
Warning: there are references to darker themes, including suicide. I apologise if this offends anyone, I may need to up the rating in future, but I am hoping not to, as the next chapters will be lighter.
As a heads up, my editors, dukesofhazzardftw and Feo Takakari are moving on to other things, so if you feel up to picking up where they left off then send me a message.
Welcome back, readers, to yet again another Monday Being a Better Writer post that has obviously been relegated to Tuesday. Someday I'll make enough money from my writing to be able to give up my part-time job, but right now ... if they want me on Mondays, they unfortunately have me.
Sorry for the lack of updates, life has recently found a way to consistently found ways to intervene at every opportunity I had to sit down for writing so I'd been reduced to only getting a few sentences or paragraphs in at a time. However, the past two days have proven fruitful in that I've gotten a good chunk of work done and now Chapter 14.1 (clop and clop-free versions) is more or less finished and awaiting completion of 14.2, which is where all of my attention has been turned as of late.
Yet another story by the author you should know well: EclipseFairy.
Presenting:
Woodland Date
Control your breathing, horizon fans: a new story has just popped up on your feed, but it is neither my writing nor new. (However, I did just post a 100% new story — keep reading and I'll point you to it!)
First, some context on Dream A Little Dream Of Me:
Before you start, there's a Christmas Sale on! Colony and Dead Silver both are reduced prices through Christmas! Perfect for last minute gifts!
So I have a few ideas for some short stories that I might actually pursue at some point in the future. The only problem is I don't feel in the mood to actually write something. Eh.
So the stories I have in mind are:
* Sweetie x Scoots fic because I saw a picture I liked and had a good idea but no basis. The only problem is that I can't figure the rest of the structure of the story. But basically they do the thing that's probably sexual idk.
So, I had planned on having another chapter of Legacy go up this weekend, but then my hard drive died, and I had to spend like $280 having Best Buy fix it. Well, I had to borrow $280 having Best Buy fix it.
Sands and storms, it's time for one of these already? Even more alarming, this nears marking the the third anniversary of Unusual Things?
Boy, the days really fly, don't they?
Well, it is what it is. Time marches on. Which means that once again it's time to take a look back at my goals, accomplishments, and the like during this year and see what I've gotten done. It's time to put 2016 under the microscope and look at some hard data.

I may have found a treatment to knock out both my myofascial pain and crippling depression.
It's totally like, y'know. Right? Yeah mare.
On behalf of myself and Ponyfeather Publishing, I am pleased to announce the release of my new ebook. The thirteen stories within are guaranteed as the very beast of Horse Voice—all killer, no filler.
This book to be exact.
Well, kind of. In the above, there are seven chapters, effectively one for each pony. A few of those chapters aren't really laid out well and don't contribute to the narrative as much as I'd have liked them to. So, when I decided to move to my own IP for original fiction, I figured I'd take that and make this instead:
Hey everyone, I'm so sorry I just realised that I only uploaded Chapter 34 and not actually published it
It is up now, I promise you can go and read now if you would like
Sorry again
Ryder a.k.a. rarityxspike
I went over the two published chapters for my 100th story. Unfortunately, I found one of the published chapters (the second) was left unedited. I'm not sure why this was, or at least why it was unedited but published, something I really only have when a chapter is ready to be submitted on an unpublished story. That was incredibly embarrassing, but I've fixed everything now.
Sorry y'all, it's been fixed now.
Welp, folks, I feel like crap now. I just realized the books I was browsing through amazon for to get a feel for price range were physical books, and the $15.00 price I thought was cheap next to what I was seeing was, in fact, money-grubbing levels of expensive for an e-book. You have my most heartfelt apologies for that. I don't buy many books nowadays, so I was out of the loop. I've submitted something to amazon to change the price from $15.00 to $8.00, which falls more in line with
Go read it! The last chapter drops tomorrow.
I will now retreat back into writing assignments and horsewords.
Near the start of this year, 2015, I made only one resolution for myself. There's a chance you may have seen what my resolution was if you ever scrolled down my userpage past the comments section and some other stuff:
