So I FINALLY managed to get started on chapter twenty-seven. I've gotten 2k words finished already, and it's shaping up to be a good chapter. Apparently the REAL Dr. Brass had a few secrets of his own which MAY prove beneficial to our heroes as they strive to deal with a literal army of cyber ponies, as well as the fake Dr. Brass himself.
So, I've started to try and see what I can do with A City's Understanding, one of my Tier 1 (Harmony's Creed, A City's Understanding, Under Loyalty's Flag, Equestria Girls: Racers) stories and I cancelled some time ago. To tell the truth, I started to really hate that story. I look at it now and I'm like "why?" However, I feel like my premise and idea was good, so I feel like it could be salvaged. I also feel like if I DO any non-fanfiction, it would be an original adaptation of A City's
I asked DaveSong about doing a fanfiction with his Legend of Zelda + Steampunk ideas, and he finally got back to me. And do you know what he said?
Nah, just kidding. He actually said...
Hey, did you know I write non-pony things?
Like, actual original writing. Not other fandoms (I used to, but my Final Fantasy and MegaMan stuff ended years ago — although the ridiculous self-insert Final Fantasy 7/Final Fantasy 8/Dragonball Z/Sorcerer Hunters/Star Trek TNG/Kirby/(I forget the rest, but at least one scene involved the ghost of Bob Dole, who died in chapter one, attacking the heroes with a minigun) crossover lasted a surprisingly long time).
(Edit: Okay, not the way you think)
Well, one of use got something done!
Please make zis pappa prouder and give BlueBook's latest story a chance.
㎰ - Now that I know these horse boats were a real thing, boy would I'd like to ride one!
First draft of Chapter 12 for What They Expect to Give is at 3,345 words so far. It's not really going in the direction I originally envisioned it, but maybe that's a good thing. I had a kind of manic, slap-stick comedy thing going on in my head, but on paper that might come across as jarring. I'm wondering if what I have so far might already need some slimming, though...like maybe I can still achieve what I'm going for without so many words? It'd give me room to do other things this
Cabbage, collard greens, kale, brussels sprout, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, and broccolini are all the same species.
There was a little 'favor' of sorts a good friends asked of me recently. To listen in and critique a rather unique opera over at bandcamp.
The devil, in the highest of compliments, should be rewarded for it. It floored me. Dropped kick you down the stairs kinda floored.
I took a look at some of my older works, and found a CCG I came up with a while back. It was something infected my mind a few years ago, feel free to talk ask me more about this project. It’s aesthetic is a mix of steampunk and cyberpunk, with a few cards showing components of both. I came up with the idea back in high school, formalized it a bit during college. I came up with some designs I haven’t seen in any game’s art style, haven’t seen any in any established series either.
The time is now finally there. Finally there to do something what I've been saying to do for a long time. If you remember a previous blog of mine, I said that I was kinda done with MLP fanfics. Hence why I expanded my horizon of writing gibberish. The first story to see that light of day, is the story that I wrote to not write Blood Curse Hunters
It's been nearly a month now since mom passed away. I've pretty much finished my grieving, though I still catch myself as I'm about to walk in her room and hug her and say good morning. I used to go bug her all the time, if for nothing else than to just give her a hug. Thinking about it now, I realize I didn't hug her nearly as often as I did during the months leading up to her death, and I find myself wondering if I somehow knew, somewhere in my soul, that I would soon not have the chance
So, I had planned on having another chapter of Legacy go up this weekend, but then my hard drive died, and I had to spend like $280 having Best Buy fix it. Well, I had to borrow $280 having Best Buy fix it.
Hello, people who follow me. Yes, all five of you.
Thought I'd post a little status update as to where I've been for the past month or so. Well, I've been in New Zealand, and it was pretty fun, but that also means that my procrastination with regards to stories has been even worse. But never fear, because I am actually gonna force myself to write some more of Demon's Tears soonish, and hopefully gonna start off on more Tales of the Sky stuff too. So... yeah.
Heart-felt Steam
Uchu Ijo, an abandoned child on the streets of Vashira, land of gears and rising steam, has been brought to the great academy to study the sciences of her world. It is now, several years later, that she has fallen through the gap between worlds, and become a traveler betwixt worlds.
These, are her stories.
Um, maybe you could give it a read? Here's the link.
