A Mistake was Made. · 5:03pm Jun 4th, 2022
Welp, folks, I feel like crap now. I just realized the books I was browsing through amazon for to get a feel for price range were physical books, and the $15.00 price I thought was cheap next to what I was seeing was, in fact, money-grubbing levels of expensive for an e-book. You have my most heartfelt apologies for that. I don't buy many books nowadays, so I was out of the loop. I've submitted something to amazon to change the price from $15.00 to $8.00, which falls more in line with what I originally wanted, but it can take up to 72 hours to commit. I never wanted to overcharge you, especially as I'm just starting out, and I literally feel sick to my stomach from posting that blog yesterday thinking I was publishing at a fraction of the normal cost. The actual business part of this has been stressful as hell, and I'm sorry for any mistakes I make getting everything sorted out. I've already had several anxiety attacks trying to figure out if all the red tape is in order, and this is just... ugh... this is literally the last thing I wanted when setting out to publish. Even if I didn't mean to set the price high, I'm stuck feeling like some filthy, penny-pinching scrouge now, and that's just going to add to all the nervewracking stress over the next month.
If you did preorder the book, I highly suggest checking your bank accounts in and seeing if you've already been charged or if amazon is waiting to charge you until release. You may wish to just cancel and reorder once the price change is secured to be sure you get a fair price, and I'm willing to talk to amazon if they've already charged you.
I'll make another blog post about the book in a week or so. I'm determined to go digging and make sure I didn't make any other mistakes setting this up before posting all willy-nilly like yesterday.
(Sorry again for double dipping with blog posts, but I can't tag more than one relevant story at a time.)
You do realize you posted 2 of these right?

As he said in the first one, it only lets him tag one story per post.
