New Audiobook by ThelifeonCloud9: All Nightmare Long

    Happy Nightmare Night, everypony!

As part of this year's Month of Macabre, ThelifeonCloud9 has released an audio production of my story All Nightmare Long. (Trivia time: Cloud9 got her start in fandom audio productions four years ago, with a bit part in Scribbler's production of another story of mind, Holder's Boulder.)

    Check it out below:

    Audiobook Directory

Over the years, several fandom YouTubers have created audio productions of stories from the Horse Voice bibliography. These are now very numerous, and so for the convenience of listeners, I have compiled them here.

Many thanks to those who liked my stories enough to create these great renditions.

    You Are Not Alone

This message is very, very late by the standards of the Internet. But my conscience won't let me rest until I say how I feel.

A week ago, news broke that former fan-author Jetfire2012 had taken leave of his sanity and picked a fight with an entire crowd... with predictable and well-deserved results.

Dear Ponies, Allow Me to Play You Out

Here in Canada, tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. And so for myself and other Canadian bronies, the timing of Pony's finale, almost to the day, is quite fitting.

But really, who needs a red-letter day for thankfulness? This event may be bittersweet, but we can all be thankful for the good times, for the lessons that help us, for our creations, and for each other.

My Interview at BronyCon: Slightly Less Cringey Than I Expected

"Um, uh, uh, er, um, uh, y'know..."
    --Me

Surprise, everyone! One of my fans, Tyler Hinton, managed to find me at BronyCon 2019 and ask for an in-person interview. The result: About six minutes of me spilling my guts, interspersed with ten minutes of "um's." Luckily, Tyler edited the boring parts out, so my long, rambling answers don't drag on too much.

Available Now: "Biblical Monsters and Other Grim Tales" · 3:59pm Mar 25th, 2019

On behalf of myself and Ponyfeather Publishing, I am pleased to announce the release of my new ebook. The thirteen stories within are guaranteed as the very beast of Horse Voice—all killer, no filler.

Besides these, the book includes:

—Gorgeous cover art by the talented DiscordTheGE
—A foreword by my longtime apprentice GaryOak, with previously untold backstory
—A preface by yours truly, with insights on my literary philosophy
—Professional-style editing and formatting by the irreplaceable RBDash47

And if all goes well, we plan to sell these at this year's Bronycon Bookstore. Cross my path and I'll sign your copy, provided I'm not running late for something.

All the best,
H.V.

RBDash47 is a cool-ass man, whoever he is.

Nice. We need to get more stories published by these guys. There’s a lot of good fanfics is this community and they deserve this kind of treatment. I for one would like to see what a good editor could do with fallout equestria.

I'll need a bigger suitcase for bronycon!

these guys

It's just the one guy, actually. Hi!

I for one would like to see what a good editor could do with fallout equestria.

Kkat has forbidden anyone from editing Fallout: Equestria. Even just correcting typos. It's why every print and ebook edition has to come with a disclaimer at the front saying they know about the errors but can't do anything about it.

When I tried to years ago, Kkat said it would be unfair to the people who had already translated the story into other languages. As though books aren't issued in revised editions that correct mistakes all the time. As though the translators translated the misspellings. Absolutely ridiculous.

Awesome!

Could we get a full story list? It doesn't say on the Ponyfeather page. (I mean, everyone who has downloaded it will have one anyway, but it's good to know up front.)

[all killer, no filler.

That enthusiasm is so punchy that I think it gave me a Fat Lip

I’ll get this for my Galaxy, or maybe just wait until BC.

Reverse JK Rowling syndrome perhaps?

It really is just you? That’s pretty impressive.

Good stories just make sure to skip the foreword.

Sweet, this will provide me a good excuse to, uh, actually read most of your stories... :applejackconfused:

I think I've only read Savage Way, Writing on the Wall, and Biblical Monsters. I know I had planned to read more, but apparently I haven't. Where did the time go?

The funny part is, simply listing them all was the original idea, but we figured the names by themselves wouldn't mean much to a casual browser unfamiliar with my bibliography. But perhaps RBD can find some happy medium. In any case, herewith the list:

--The Writing on the Wall
--Leviathan
--The Savage Way
--Long Live Sonata Dusk
--Holder’s Boulder
--All Nightmare Long
--Johnny Never Knew What Hit Him
--The Visiting Hour
--Wild Fire
--The Controller
--I Cast a Deadly Shadow
--Krastos the Glue Maker
--Biblical Monsters

"Unknownlight"... now where have I seen that name...?

...Oh! Hi again! Don't feel bad; there are so many great stories in this fandom that it's easy to get paralyzed by choice when you go to read even the best ones. And it was encouragement from readers like you in the early days that set me on the long journey to this publication. Allow me to sincerely say, thank you.

The bookstore is getting better every day.

Ooohh I like the painting, very nice lighting and mood!

Congratulations Horse Voice, you should be proud of yourself!

I like how your wording implicitly suggests that your stories are, indeed, some of the "best ones". I'm not being sarcastic—that's some enviable confidence there.

:ajsleepy:... Ain't gonna lie, that wasn't really what I meant. I meant the best stories in general, since there are so many of them. Er, sorry to disappoint. :twilightblush: Not to seem argumentative, but I'm afraid the Dunning-Kruger Effect will kick in if I start believing my own press.

It looks awesome!
