Hello, and welcome to Though Prism Recommends, the blog series where I tell you guys about things I find to be worth watching or playing. I know it's been a while since the last one, but I was busy with finals until 20 minutes ago. Today's topic shall be the 3DS game known as Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.
Ha!
Yes, after over a year and several false starts I finally, finally have proper art for The Bridle Path. As most of you know, that story was the very first story I wrote, not only here on FimFiction, but in general. Despite its errors and flaws, it still holds a very warm place in my heart and it always does me good to see a notification about it cross through my alerts.
As you've probably already heard, the Royal Canterlot Library has officially shuttered its doors. In my case, it was a case of the pandemic kicking me in the teeth and never quite getting my rhythm back. But before I close that chapter of my part in the fandom completely, I may as well make up for lost time.

Apologies for the lack of updates lately in the reading corner series - with my full time new job and my health I haven't had the time nor the energy. so today's work is hijacked written with love by my long suffering much adored editor.
Hidden gem.
The phrase conjures up all kinds of things, doesn't it? Does it make you think of a story in particular? Link it down below as your recommendation!
Write on,

For many of you that word means an odd South American weapon, or a type of western tie. But to some of us who are in the know, that word brings to mind a weapon. A weapon not just of power and might, but of duty and honor, pledged to be humanity's ultimate knights among the stars.
I speak of the members of The Dinochrome Brigage, the Bolo AI super tanks.

… Now I'm a union mare
Amazed at what I am
I say what I think, that the company stinks
Yes I'm a union mare

It's by a very good friend of mine. It's fun, it's random, it's had less than 300 views, but those people who have read it seem to have loved it. (Seriously, take a look at the upvote/downvote ratio — very few of my stories can compete with that.) And I count myself in that group — I enjoyed reading it muchly.
I'm still working on new chapters of Into the Black, Sledgehammer, and the weird SpikexChrysalis wedding fic with a too-long title.
MORE IMPORTANTLY I found a super-dope musician you should check out; the name's Jeff Burgess & the Bad Mares and they make smokin' qual stuff like this and this and this and it's buxom and beautiful.
I recently picked out this little gem while perusing a Barnes & Noble in Yonkers. I had some spare cash and I haven't had anything to read for a few months (except of course what I could find here on this site), and I needed a dose of some classic fiction to pull my thoughts away from weird fiction. That doesn't mean, however, that I didn't buy a four-inch thick collection of lesser-known writings by H.P. Lovecraft that I happened across. Now, on to a short review of the fantasy novel "Silent
Guys!
Guys!
Guys guys guys!
PoweredByTea[1] has just posted a new story. The Price For Luna! And, oh, guys, has this one been a long, long time coming.
How long? Okay. So I wrote fanfic about this fanfic[2].
In 2013.
Yes.
Okay, so recently I just rewatched the Prince of Egypt by DreamWorks Animation, and at the time I was at a loss to find another cool video to show you guys and gals for this week, until I rewatched the movie (Highly recommend it, if you want a good movie about the story of Exodus starring some very famous and well known voice actors like Ralph Fiennes and Sir Patrick Stewart and some very good songs.) and remembered finding this video out there on the net.
Not much to say, so I"ll just cut and paste the post in:
not sure what the future of this blog is. We’re stepping out of character for this post.
You’ve never been reliablle, but this is rediculous.
Do any of you know about this? I saw a bunch of videos mention it on YouTube, and as most of them sung praise for it and it looked weird enough, and after reading the general premise, I thought I'd give it a watch. And holy Bob was it crisp! Like, all ten episodes had exceptional animation quality that made the characters and all the weirdness really pop. And boy is it weird, especially with the characters. But it's an endearing weird, for all their quirks and insanity. Wamawink is an absolute
Happy Holidays everyone!
It's that time of year when seemingly everyone on this site publishes a festive story for others, so I figured I'd give it another go. This year, my request was from Whinifree, who wanted a Lightning Dust story written from her POV with Discord involved.
Overall. Ancient, introverted angst struggles in vain to defeat a modern enemy.

Sorry folks, it’s been a while since I posted a review set. So I figured I’d start us back off with some of my favorite stories that I haven’t reviewed yet, before I start waving my cane at the kids to get off my lawn.
Today’s stories:
That’s All by Archmage Ludicrous
Mate for Dash by AppendingFic
Twilight Eats a Hamburger by PonyTom
Heart to Heart by Crosis
Weeks ago, I started on this set with the intention of including a review of Eternal. Alas, I ended up reviewing five stories before I got around to reading it, and consequently it (along with Skywriter’s Heretical Fictions) got pushed off to another review post.
Why?
Because sometimes, when I’m stuck on a story, I go back and read through stories by others in the hopes of capturing some of their magic.
