A few months ago I was talking to Bookish Delight on Discord about the Equestria Girls series, and how time had revealed Rainbow Rocks to be something of a fluke. As to why Rainbow Rocks was so much better than the rest, and why it struck such a chord with me, Bookish pushed me to go into detail, so I did:
"Oh Tumbleweed!" you cry.
"Given the scientific fact that you are BEST AT PONIES, please, tell us, how do you write a shipfic? I know we asked you once before but honestly shipping is what drives a significant chunk of this website. So tell us MORE ENLIGHTENED SECRETS, on this Hallmark-inspired holiday. Oh and can you make it about Rainbow Dash shipping 'cause she's super popular and therefore the subject of a good 40 percent of the shippings?"
WELL LET ME TELL YOU
To most of Equestria, the Bene Sediment are just one more eccentricity in the culture of rock farmers, a peculiar priesthood that propitiates the spirits of metals and minerals to provide bountiful harvests. And for most ponies, their knowledge of them, if they’ve even heard of them, ends there.
So I may or may not have been drunk (the answer is not, but I WAS sleep deprived) when I decided, "Let's see if I can make it appear like the Rainbooms are the bad guys of Rainbow Rocks."
Welp, check out what my sleep-deprived mind came up with! It was solely for fun.
There's nothing like driving home when it's late and you're tired and an accident shuts down the whole highway into a crawl.

One of the ways to describe music is as sonic emotion. The emotions of joy, anger, fear, sadness and so forth, expressed as musical notes in chords and harmony. Various genres of music are often associated with various emotions. Country and Western is often associated with determination and melancholy. Classical music is associated with elegant manners. Rap with outrage and defiance, and so forth and so on.

As of today, both Brotherly Bonding Time and The Rock Farmer's Daughters had their ratings changed to Teen (something that should have been done earlier--especially for RFD, given that it's older and finished).
Better safe than sorry.
Since her introduction in season 4, Maud Pie has made at least one appearance in every season, and every single one of those appearances is stronger than the last. By season 6's "The Gift of the Maud Pie," the writers had grown comfortable with subtly suggesting her emotions, and here, they've gone a step further and fleshed out her flaws and anxieties. She is rapidly becoming one of the absolute best characters in the entire show because of this, which makes it all the more disappointing that
Finally watched Legend of Everfree and have come to the conclusion that the Humane Five are mentally regressed. I don't mean that as an offense to people with clinically diagnosed mental retardation, but the Humane Five have something wrong with their brains.
I don't really think it's much of a spoiler, but I'll put it under a break in case for those who haven't seen the movie yet.

Hey folks, just letting you know I put up a polished version of a speedwrite fic I did a while ago. I'm rather proud of it and it did win said contest, so that's something. It's a bit different from my usual writing style, but I think it came out well. Plus, there's an oblique reference to The Iron Horse in there, if you're up for that. 
At no point in Rainbow Rocks or Sunset's Backstage Pass does anyone call Aria Blaze by name in dialogue.
If her name hadn't been in the credits of Rainbow Rocks, and if there hadn't been a doll of her, we might still be speculating on her name today.
