When Scootaloo comes home from school, she sees this colt on the side of the road. After she gets news of her parents death, the mysterious colt takes her to a place where everypony knows each other and that somepony would want to be in her family. They travel across seas and land, fighting monsters and coming over troubles.

Still mopey after Rarity married a faraway Prince, Spike spends his teenage dragon days in bed eating ice cream. Twilight annoyed by his dreary behavior, gets help from a friend to set Spike up on a date. The lucky mare? One of Equestria's fastest rising Deejays!

A teenage Apple Bloom feels the need to run away from home in order to find her place in the world. While running away she happens to run into Spike, who is running away as well, so the two eventually decide to go together. Now Apple Bloom has to figure out what is causing Spike to run away and try to help, while Spike had to try and find his own hope.
