My first fic. Enjoy

It's another sunny day in Equestria, thanks to a certain rainbow haired pegasus. A brown pegasus with a red mane steps off a train before it pulls away. He picks up his bags and heads into town. As he started to walk to a water fountain he was trampled by an orange pegasus with a magenta mane. "ow my head." Said the orange pony. "Sorry i didn't see you. My names Scootaloo. Whats yours?" "My names Orion, Orion Solstice." Orion started to help Scootaloo to her feet. "So iv'e never seen you in town before." "yeah I just moved here from manehatten." "Cool, my friend Apple Bloom has a cousin from there." "I noticed you don't have your cutie mark" Said Scootaloo "Dang, is it really that noticeable?" "Nah, me and my friends Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle have this club called the Cutie Mark Crusaders. We devote ourselves to helping ponies find their cutie marks. Come on, I'll show you the clubhouse."

Scootaloo proceeded to take Orion to the club house. On the way there she told him about their incident with babs a few years back. "Alright, this is the place." Said Scootaloo. "Awesome isn't it." Orion could only stand there with a gaping mouth. Scootaloo burst through the door and told her friends the good news. "Wow, he's really from manehatten, does he know babs?" Said Apple Bloom. "No, but he wants to join our club." "Yay, I love it when we get new members!" Exclaimed Sweetie Belle. "So where are you staying in Ponyville" Said Apple Bloom "oh, well I dont have enough bits to rent an apartment room so i was just going to camp out in the forest." "nonsense, you can stay here in the club house." Said Scootaloo "Really, you would do that for me?" "Sure, i'll find you a sleeping bag." "Thanks Scootaloo, I'm gonna go check out Ponyville for a while. See you later.

The sun was beginning to set. Orion started to walk back to the clubhouse. When he returned he was surprised to see that Scootaloo was the only pony still there. "where did Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle go?" "They went home." "how come your still here then?" "Don't tell the others but I live in the club house." Orion looked down and noticed two sleeping bags. Confused he asked, "What? Why do you live in the club house?" "Well, promise not to tell the others but when I was born my mother died in the process. My father, heart broken, tried to raise me by himself then fell into a drug addiction and one day he didn't come home. I ran away and met Sweetie Belle and befriended her. Later we met Apple Bloom and we started this club. Ever since then iv'e been living here." "I'm so sorry. Actually the reason I moved to Ponyville is because my parents were killed in a bombing. I came here to get away from it all." "I'm sorry to hear about that." Orion pulled a tablet of some sort out of his bag. He showed it to Scootaloo. There was a picture with two adult ponies. "Is that your parents?" Asked Scootaloo. "Yeah, I took this the day before they died." Scootaloo was beginning to shed a tear. "Don't cry Scoots, its alright. It's all in the past now. Neither of us can change it. Our parents would want us to move on." The two ponies went to their sleeping bags and went to sleep.

As the sun was rising the next day Scootaloo was outside the clubhouse thinking of a way for the group to earn their cutie marks. "Wake up sleepy head" Said Scootaloo as she nudged Orion's shoulder. "Ugh, what time is it." moaned Orion. "I dunno, around seven I guess. Come on lets go find Sweetie and AB. Today we're gonna go hang gliding. "That sounds fun." Orion and Scootaloo began walking to Sweet Apple Acres. They started to talk to each other and talk about the things the liked. They actually had a lot in common. When they got there they asked AppleJack if Apple Bloom was up. Before she could answer Apple Bloom burst through the front door. "Hey guys!" yelled Apple Bloom. "So Apple Bloom, are you ready to go hang gliding?" Said Scootaloo. "Am I ever!" They went to carousel Boutique to get Sweetie Belle. Afterwards they went to the top of a cliff with the hang gliders they rented. "I call going first." Said Scootaloo. Without warning she jumped of the cliff. Something was wrong, she wasn't coming back up. There was a loud scream "AHHHH" "What happened!" Exclaimed Apple Bloom. "Her safety harness must have come undone. Why doesn't she just fly back up?" "She cant fly!" Said Sweetie Belle in shock. "WHAT!?" Orion leaped off the cliff and began to fall towards Scootaloo. Orion was closing in on her but so was the ground. Orion adjusted his form and started to flap his wings. He started to pick up speed. "Grab my hoof!" yelled Orion. Scootaloo outstretched her hoof but couldn't reach. Orion started flapping harder than he ever had before. Orion had a sudden burst of speed and caught Scootaloo just before she hit the ground. "when we get back to the clubhouse I'm giving you flying lessons." Scootaloo planted a kiss on Orion's cheek. Orion grinned.

Later when Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle left Orion and Scootaloo began to talk. "Why don't you know how to fly?" Asked Orion. "Well, nopony ever tought me anything, so all I have to go off of is instinct, and it hasn't helped me at all." "Well, I'll teach you then." Orion began going some basic procedures and Scootaloo was beginning to get the hang of it. "Alright were ready for your first test flight." Orion helped Scootaloo on top of the club house. "Just remember what I told you and you'll be fine." Scootaloo started flapping her wings and began to hover, a big smile appeared on her face. "Good now start moving forward." Scootaloo began to move forward. "I'm doing it, I'm really flying." In the excitement Scootaloo lost her concentration and fell on Orion who was watching below. They both burst out laughing. "Well next we need to work on your concentration. That's enough for tonight though, lets go to bed I'm beat."

The next morning the two pegasi began to walk to town "Alright scoots are you ready to train?" "That depends, Can pegasi stand on clouds?" Said Scootaloo sarcastically. "That's what I like to hear, think you can make it to Cloudsdale?" "You know it." The two ponies began their flight to the floating city. Along the way they got to know each other a bit more. Once they got there they went to the Cloudsdale colosseum. "Today we're gonna work on your speed and agility." "Sounds fun." Scootaloo was eager to get started. "You can start when ever tour ready, just remember what I told you." Scootaloo launched from the starting platform. She effortlessly flew through the rings tucking in her wings to fit through them. Orion could only stand in shock as she had learned so quickly. "Impressive, you did better than I did my first time on this course." "Well you must be a great teacher then." It was starting to get dark. "Well lets get back to the clubhouse before it gets too dark." Said Orion.

The two ponies began their flight back to Sweet Apple Acres. Once they arrived they went into the clubhouse and lay down on their sleeping bags. "You know I never really did get to thank you for saving my life yesterday." Said Scootaloo. "Dont mention it, I wasn't just gonna let you plummet to your de-" Scootaloo gave Orion a deep kiss. They both blushed. "Heh,well goodnight" Said Scootaloo as she turned over. "Uh, yeah goodnight." Orion turned over and drifted off to sleep.

EPILOG

Orion, Scootaloo and their friends grew up and over time Scootaloo and Orion grew closer. about a year had passed and the ponies and their friends earned their cutie marks. About two years after Orion and Scootaloo graduated flight academy Orion proposed to Scootaloo. A few years after the wedding they had two pegasus fouls and lived a happy life together. Apple Bloom and sweetie Belle also grew up to have good lives. the four ponies still remained good friends and all saw each other regularly.
