Twilight Sparkle: the student of the princesses, a princess in her own right, and brimming with stunning capability. She's also awkward, nerdy, and obsessed with the pursuit of knowledge. Not to mention cuter than any other mare in Ponyville!

Trouble is, you don't know how to initiate a relationship with her. Maybe there's a book that can help. Maybe...she can help.

After an expedition into the Everfree Forest ends in disaster, Applejack and Rainbow Dash take refuge in an abandoned cabin until morning.

This is probably a poor decision, but it's only one night, after all. How bad could it be?

Long ago, there was a unicorn filly who made paintings with her magic that were said to be life like. However, she lived with two parents who were always fighting and abusing each other much to her sorrow. One day, she made a painting of a scary figure she had seen in her dreams. She put the painting up in her special room, but the next day the family was never seen again.

Hundreds of years later, Scootaloo visits their old abandoned house and sees the painting for herself.

Rainbow Dash's life is full of colour: of sunrises and sunsets that dance, of skies so blue you can taste them, of prisms that fracture light and fill one's soul with rainbows. Truly, it is a life where she couldn't ask for more.

Why do ponies fear that? It's as if they're scared of beauty. Or maybe scared of her, possibly.

If only they'd let her enlighten them. But maybe today will be a luckier day...

I know I made promises about what my 50th fic would be. Trust me, I do have them in mind and I will finish writing and publish them, for your sakes and mine. I just didn't want to write two romance stories in a row, that's all, and I figured that I could shake things up a little and try something new.
