Fuzzy, blurry patches of color. That's all I can see. I wouldn't even call it "seeing". It's quite sad to be honest. Being pretty much blind makes me feel so helpless sometimes. My parents must've thought I was pretty helpless too for them to leave me. I think everyone thinks I'm helpless to some extent. I was so sheltered during my life at the orphanage. I admit, it was nice being taken care of and knowing that I was safe. But I wanted to be more than that filly who would just stay in her room all day, waiting for something interesting to happen in her life. I wanted to take action and prove I was anything but helpless. That lead me to do something no one saw coming...

This is the order the five senses develop in for foals as they rest, cradled in the warm safety of a mother’s womb. But for one, her womb was a thorn bush in the dark of night. For one, the safety and warmth that should have carried her into the world was replaced with pain and cold.

These are Nyx's first hours.

Starburst, the daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince Flash Sentry, has about all she could ask from life: loving parents, her Little Brother Best Friend Forever, and despite her seriousness and disciplined mentality, she has group of friends close as family. She also has an ambitious goal in life: she wants to be the first mare ever to become the Captain of the Royal Guard, which she's been preparing herself for since she was a little filly.

So... what would happen if she were to meet a pony that is an exact opposite of her?

(I wrote this when I was 17. it's pretty rough in places, but i think the basic ideas i had here were pretty cool. it's got a good skeleton)

The Cutie Mark Crusaders and their new member Dinky Doo have been assigned a group biography on a pony that was important to Equestrian history. The four quickly decide to do Captain Equestria, an old war hero in the first Changeling War that was given powers by the top secret Super Stallion Serum. When Queen Chrysalis and her husband King Cocoon come back for another war and the Changelings have secretly replaced many of Equestria's political figures and heroes including the Mane 6 with impostors. The Cutie Mark Crusaders (along with Rainbow Dash) must find the first and only trustworthy pony to help them fight a war that they have no idea who to trust... Captain Equestria!

Note: This isn't a Crossover but it is inspired by Marvel's Captain America and the Secret Invasion Marvel storyline. I repeat this isn't a crossover. Just inspired by the two.

Her friends try to comfort her and assure her she has nothing to fear, but soon the situation snowballs as reports keep coming in of strange sights, leading them into the forest to discover the truth... and something that will change all of their lives forever.

Dan, a young high school musician, is angry at a recent turn of events that has made him resent everybody around him. However, he is contacted by Celestia and offered to be transported to Equestria to blow off some steam and relax. But Dan can't help but wonder if there's a real reason behind her offer.

Rainbow Dash, the Ponyville weather team captain, is known throughout the town as the stubborn tom-colt who has rejected every stallion who has come calling. But what happens when the human-turned-stallion comes to town and steals her heart?
