Life can be tough for a farmer. After a rough season Big Macintosh needs something to keep his strength going, fortunately, something worth living for isn't far away.

This is a short fic I did to fill in some time for my other stuff. Feel free to criticise and tell what you did/didn't like. Fic based off of the pic I used for the cover art (full credit to BobtheLurker for his art)

One week has passed since the Battle of the Bands. Alone and hungry, Sonata must find food to survive until Adagio comes back.

It’s true. Sometimes a tear’ll slip out… it’s bound to happen, sometimes… but for the most part, I cry on the inside.

But right now, as I watch my friends weeping in a huddle together... I'm not crying.

Not even on the inside.

As everypony knows, Pinkie Pie can do impossible things. She can hover in midair without wings, play ten instruments at once, and even go days without breathing! Clearly some kind of magic is at work, but what could it be?

Pinkie decides it's finally time to tell her friends the whole, unvarnished truth.

Most ponies of Equestria let this particular day go by without so much as a second glance. Some historians or mages acknowledged its existence, but only in the context that the world lost a great spell caster, and with him much untapped knowledge. Nopony saw it as a day worth commemorating, worth remembering as more than a trivia question.

Yet, for Princess Celestia of Equestria, it was the day she’d lost her best friend. So she takes the time to reflect on their friendship.

Running into the caves, most likely one of Starlight Glimmer's more rash decisions. However, it might not end badly... Right?

A group of students from the School for Gifted Unicorns are given a chance to visit Celestia's royal garden and a curious filly decides to ask about a statue that's in their tour, where they all hear the story of how the spirit of chaos fell into a stone imprisonment for the third and final time.

Luna, still a bit unhappy at Celestia for banishing her to the moon for a thousand years, wants to have a small, tiny taste of vengeance. To be exact, she wants to send Celestia to the Sun.

So what is Luna going to do first?

Ask Celestia for permission, of course. Complications eventually occur.
