After months of fighting feelings about Applejack, Rainbow attempts to get her and Applejack on a date together. But when things go horribly wrong and Applejack falls in love with somepony else (and a stallion for that matter), Rainbow has to work out what she'll do in order to win her over.

Rainbow Dash had dreamed of this for weeks. She was finally going to swim with Applejack. Alone. Not a single member of Applejack's family would be in sight. She was given this opportunity once, but she didn't know what to say. What to do. Now, with this opportunity, she was going to take the plunge. A plunge to impress her.

After a particularly rough day of flying, Rainbow Dash crashes at Sweet Apple Acres with a dire need for preening. Applejack is more than willing to help her marefriend in whatever way she can.

Hey everyone! This is my first time writing anything substantial in the past three years, and I have to say that it feels good to be back. This was a quick little thing written for the first Preening Group Contest, partially at the insistence of a friend. There was no editor involved, and it took slightly under an hour and a half. Kind of slow to write, but I'll improve.

All Applejack wanted was to complete her chores so she could help Rarity and the girls with the Ponyville Days Festival. Maybe even get a little bit of advertisement for Sweet Apple Acres. Unfortunately, anything that involves Rarity will most likely include drama. Applejack soon finds herself hiding from a stalker, traveling writer with an obsessed crush on her and a jealous friend with a stereotypical view of her country life. At the same time, she has to try and keep her relationship with a certain rainbow haired pegasus a secret.

She should have stayed in the chicken coop.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash are spending a cold, wintery day together, around the table, sharing hot tea and cookies. This is an AppleDash Quickie (not that kind of quickie, you perv), and is a short story set in the same universe as "Of Clouds, Seeds, and Apple Trees," as well as "Saddlebags, Sun, and On the Run," "Hearth's Warming's Heart," and "Orange and Blue, I Do." It is the latest story in the chronology.
