Honestly, when Applejack said that bit about Dash having a crush on Cloudjumper (boy, did Twilight ever get that one wrong!), I was just surprised that, in all her anger and hurt from what AJ said, she didn't finally spill the beans about her feelings for AJ.
Next chapter soon, please! I wanna find out what happens next between these two!

Hopefully, she'll see the light before long.
But, from my own perspective, even if (when) she does, Dash should just shun her for awhile. Maybe that will make AJ realize that Dash is suffering just as much as she is over all this mess...and maybe even more so.
And, since there's no "Tragedy" tag on this story, I'm assuming that Dash doesn't die in this thing.

And it is so nice to see Applejack finally being smart over all this. To the point of realizing her feelings for Rainbow.
And Cloudjumper, of all ponies, being the voice of reason in all this. Will wonders never cease?
And to be honest, until I read this chapter, I didn't like him all that much, but now? I think he's pretty cool. The fact that he loves AJ enough to give her up so that she'll be happy with her true love (i.e., Rainbow), rather than keeping her as his marefriend, just put him up there with my two favorite mares in my eyes.
Now, that said.........
Please, let them get to Rainbow before it's too late! Please!!!

Glad you're taking a liking to Cloudjumper though. I never wanted him to be particularly, well...somepony to hate but then again this is an AppleDash story. Anypony who dares get in the way of the two mares isn't met with much of a positive reception.

Well, I didn't at first, but he kinda redeemed himself in this chapter, as he was talking sense about AJ and Dash. And the fact that he's ready to go with her to find Rainbow just redeemed him even more in my eyes.
Hey, what's not to like about a fella who puts aside his own feelings about AJ so she can be with the one who truly loves her, and who she loves in return? That's true sacrifice, and what real selflessness is all about. He loves AJ enough to let her go and be happy, and I can't help but admire that.

5543971 On the contrary. I think AJ's feelings are a bit forced. Maybe a deeper introspection would have worked. As it is, the fic reads more like this:
"So Rainbow kissed AJ and AJ rejected her. Cloudjumper came in and found her crying. AJ told him what happened and said Rainbow had been acting strange recently.
'Rainbow loves you'.
'But Ah dun love 'er back!'
'Yes, you do! Let's find her so you two can confess!'"

And they're not letting go of each other at the end of the chapter. You get a well-deserved "D'awwwwww!" for that.
Now all we need to do is find out what happened to Cloudjumper (although I think that Twilight and those guards showing up at the end might be just a teeny bit of a clue...as I somehow cannot believe that that's just a coincidence). And if I may forward a bit of a guess, something just tells me we'll find that out soon.
