This story is a sequel to Changeling

Aura and Trixie have been living in Ponyville for a few months now, with the ocassional travelling across Equestria to perform Trixie's shows, and life has been pretty peaceful for them.

In the Changeling Kingdom, however, tensions continue to rise as the hunt for RE brings the loyalty of all changeling soldiers into question, and the griffon Emperor Nero takes advantage of this vulnerable time in Queen Chrysalis' reign to erradicate the enemy race once and for all.

With Aura called back to the Changeling Kingdom, Trixie goes along with her to protect the youngling who she has come to know as a good friend over the past few months.

On the other side, Rainbow Dash wants to do whatever she can to help her childhood friend turned soldier Gilda in her time of need. Even if it means fighting against somepony who may or may not be her friend.

After a chance encounter in Baltimare, Rainbow Dash and Trixie spend a little time together working on a way to redeem Trixie's Great and Powerful stagename, during which the two discover new feelings for one another, thus setting them both off on their new adventures of romance together.

Magic is a common sight in Equestria and for some it's a way of life. At the darkest depths, an ancient secret of this arcane art lies hidden away from the world. Few possess the rare ability to summon this mysterious power and even fewer are able to control it. A lone mare will discover her great and powerful ability to break the boundaries of her magic and learn the secrets of true magic under the guidance of a strange unicorn who is keeping more than a few secrets. What wonders and dangers lie beyond the veil of the ageless magic steeped in mystique and darkness?

A journey to become great and powerful...

Trixie strives to reach this ultimate goal; but rather than simply proclaiming her skill, she will be forced to overcome many obstacles and adapt to her changing circumstances in order to ensure her success. She must face the new challenges set before her; but when adversaries emerge, enemies-turned-friends may be Trixie's only hope.

After a perceptive unicorn filly notices a wisp of magic flow into the gemstone fastener holding Trixie's cape together, the magician tells the young one a story of how she became a traveling solo performance artist.

In a forgotten grotto, Trixie tells the story of why she wanders. It's a tale of danger and daring, dragons and monsters, grudges, and rivalries. Those, and darker things. Some questions are best left unanswered, and some stories are better off untold.

In the Equestrian Rim, the best known trader is Beatrix, or "Trixie", captain of the small freighter Lulamoon. Some would even call her a merchant princess. That's how well she's done for herself. She's never particularly cared about what happens to others, only that she gets paid.

But when a routine contract leads her to the backwater Outer Rim, to a colony called "Ponyville", things change. First she almost has a run-in with the nanite-infested Sombrans, and then learns the Sombrans have been raiding Ponyville regularly. So why does she now care about what happens to others?

Sci-fi AU.

Six years ago, Trixie rolled into Ponyville with intent to go about life as she always did - wow the crowds and stroke her ego. However, in something she recalls as the "Boast Buster" incident, Trixie was introduced to Twilight Sparkle, a mare for whom Trixie's feelings would gradually develop.
