But what of Pinkie's mention of the two Pegasi snuggling together, nibbling each other's ears, and getting all lovey-dovey?

Here's what was going on all along with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy!

When Fluttershy's house is burned to the ground and Rainbow Dash saves her, Fluttershy realizes she loves Rainbow Dash. And she does everything to try and get Dash to love her back.

In this story, Fluttershy is insecure and shy... Rainbow Dash helps her to overcome it. The two start a relationship and everyone is shocked. Fic full of cuteness and uber fluff. :3

Applejack had long since taken the Hearth’s Warming Eve story for fact. When she and Fluttershy find themselves in an untamed wilderness, they’ll learn that not all history is preserved. In their struggle to find their way home, the two will unearth secrets unknown to any living being, pony or otherwise.

Half a world away, the others have problems of their own. As Rainbow Dash struggles to discover exactly what she is to her oldest friend, Twilight must face the stunning truth about her long-time mentor.

In the end, what is lost, and what is found?

Twilight performs her latest spell for her friends to see, but the spell backfires and strikes Twilight and her friends. The spell turns out to be a shrinking spell, now reducing them to about three quarters of an inch tall. With their objective to make it to the Everfree Forest to find Zecora, the Mane Six end up on a crazy shrinking adventure. Everything sure is dangerous when you're even smaller than most insects!

Just weeks before an open audition for the Wonderbolts, Rainbow Dash finds herself unable to fly after a failed stunt leaves her injured. Left in the care of her friend Fluttershy, she worries that her dream of joining the Wonderbolts may have been crushed. As the days go on, however, she finds new feelings emerging for the pegasus aiding her recovery.

This is in the process of being re-written. If you wish to keep it as it is, you'd best save it right now. The core story is that Fluttershy injures herself, with Rainbow caring for her. Sometime after, Fluttershy gets a chance to return the favour when Rainbow is a little sick with a cold.
