This is a collection of world-building fics based on prompts provided by thirtyminuteponies.

Most of these stories are written from Princess Celestia's point of view, though there are some exceptions. Stories are posted in the order I feel like, and are not necessarily in either historical order or written order. They all occur in more-or-less the same continuity, though.

This story is a sequel to Past Sins

Side-story to Past Sins - Spike almost lost Twilight to a hangmare's noose, but now Twilight is safe and Nyx is a filly again. Normal life is returning. Still, Spike can't ignore the fact that Nyx just isn't the same as he remembers her. Her temper is more volatile, and, when she gets angry, all he can see is the rage-driven Nightmare Moon of legend.

And thus Spike has to wonder: Is Nyx truly reformed, or is she one bad tantrum away from calling herself Nightmare Moon again?

On a trip to Canterlot to attend to some royal business, Twilight Sparkle learns more about kindness and forgiveness than she expected. Contemplation, melancholy, and a richly detailed world. An oldie-but-goodie from the early days of the community; please note that this has not been updated to reflect subsequent character development from Season 2.

On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, a little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is she Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those who refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

Chapter 2: Excitement: Pinkie and Rainbow's first date is tomorrow. But can either of them get any sleep? Posted on TMP for Prompt #78 with minor editing.

Chapter 1: Confessions and Awakenings: Pinkie Pie is unconscious after saving Rainbow Dash, and the pegasus remains by her side. But how does Dash really feel about her friend? And can Pinkie Pie recover? Based on TMP Prompt #81.

A single changeling is blamed for making Chrysalis' plan to take over Equestria fail. He's banished and thrown out of the hive, ending up somewhere far away.

Luckily, he ends up not too far from a certain well-known village, where he can feed to his heart's content.

Needless to say, not everything goes according to plan.

EDIT ONE: Please also check out Singing to the Moon by the fabulously talented uSea. It's a story which I didn't even know existed until someone in the comments pointed out the similarities (I mean, seriously, that story even has some of the exact same phrasing as my own. It's eerie).

EDIT TWO: Funnily enough, long after this was published, the show itself also did something similar. I guess there's something about this pairing that lends itself to this idea?

After Rainbow Dash loses a wing in an accident Twilight finds herself to be the only pony capable of restoring it. But can she reconcile the month long treatment with her suppressed feelings for the pegasus?

I wanted to change a lot in this story before submitting it here, but then it took longer than expected and I had other things to take care of. So, after only the most basic revisions, here it is in all its imperfect glory. And in chapter form, too.
