In the wake of the battle with Tirek, Twilight Sparkle becomes fixated on restoring Golden Oaks Library. After all, it was home for her little family of three. But as her attempts to repair the books and tree continuously fail, her friends must take matters into their own hooves. Discord, as the good friend he is, tosses Twilight and her extended family into an unexpected adventure while Twilight's other friends get to work on the new crystal palace.

All together, they'll do everything to ensure Twilight and her family have a place to call home when they reach the end of the road.

Twilight went to sleep with everything being fine. When she woke up, she would come face to face with Sombra once more, but this time, he has an offer. One she would love to refuse. If only she could.

And with these words, Starlight Glimmer transported herself and Princess Twilight through the time portal. However where she winds up is not where she expected. And she isn't alone either. Who is this pony from her past and how does he know so much about her?

Starlight is staying with Twilight temporarily. Problem is, Starlight is struggling with her feelings about friendship. She doesn't want to be left alone again and it only served to feed her nightmare. Things become emotional when a certain old friend of hers shows up at the castles front doors.

It's New Year's Eve and Starlight Glimmer is spending it with her old pal and secret crush, Sunburst. The two of them spend their evening up on a balcony, watching the night sky and trying not to hold back their feelings. They're afraid to air their emotions, though, for fear that their friendship will be at stake and for having a lack of practice talking about their feelings. It's a big game of risk and reward and they both know it.
