She goes for long trots through the forest, as part of the duty. She observes the world around her, does her best to listen, and learns what she can from knowledge gained in solitude.

There are ways in which Fluttershy knows more about the world than anypony, and one of the first lessons was that the world is not what we make of it.

Ultimately, the world doesn't care.

Living with a Kirin is actually not that weird. There are language difficulties and cultural differences, but snuggling is universal.

Twilight Sparkle explains in great detail what flying is like. It's not all fluffy clouds and the wind in your mane. There's also crashing. Lots and lots of crashing.

Of death, there are two things that I believe: that it first comes in the form of a memory, and second that it comes wearing the face of a friend. As for when it comes, I can not say for sure, but I would like to think that when it comes, it parts a sea of angels as they crash and scream around it, to lead us to whatever lies beyond. Whatever that may be.

A Quills and Sofas Contest Entry for Seer's Colorful Characters Contest: Fluttershy. Originally conceived and written in the span of an hour and edited later. Written with input from Vis-a-Viscera, Flashgen, Snow Quill, Seer, SamG, TheLegendaryBillCipher, and Wish, with further suggestions from HapHazred.

Masked ponies in the background were done by HapHazred and a bottle of whiskey. Thanks Hap!

No one ever wants to fight for the Rebels during reenactments of battles from the Equestrian Civil War; they're the bad guys, and they always lose. When Spike is placed on the Rebel side yet again so that Twilight can continue to win, he enlists the help of Starlight Glimmer and several thousand other ponies in launching a protracted reenactment conflict which will finally allow him to prove his worth and triumph over Twilight and the rest of his friends. This story is complete with enough Civil War humor to make Fredricksburg look like Sharpsburg.

A soft Teen rating for tobacco/alcohol use.

Nothing quite spells ‘normal’ for the CMC like a wagon full of fireworks.

Being stuck in Equestria isn’t as bad as you would think. The creatures are friendly, the atmosphere is great, and even the rulers of the Equestria themselves are very welcoming. Naturally some people feel the need to test just how welcoming certain rulers are, and very fluffy ears are such a tempting target…
Oh, before I forget, Anon is indeed a woman in this fic.
