This story is a sequel to Closing Time

Since Trixie presented Starlight with a necklace and the two went out, they became closer and closer as each day passed, soon venturing into a happy, healthy relationship. Now, with tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala, Starlight is excited to take her marefriend along and have a romantic night together.

However, midway through the Gala, a rumor spreads that Trixie has went up to Prince Blueblood's bedroom and is having an affair with him.

So long, relaxing evening.

The Great and Powerful Trixie continues to try and master teleportation under Starlight Glimmer's tutelage. When she senses her friend is starting to once again get frustrated, she decides it's time for a snack break. What follows is a simple conversation between friends as Trixie reflects on where she's been and where she's heading.

For everything, but one tiny possession Trixie holds just for herself. But sadly her new best friend stumbled over it.

Trixie has been having nightmares ever since her return from inside the Changeling hive. Powerless to act, she is forced to watch as she is unable to protect the one thing that matters to her more than fame and glory. The thought of her only friend being hurt because she is unable to do anything scares her more than she is willing to admit.

But that may not be the only thing she is unwilling to admit. And maybe, just maybe, Starlight means more to her than she realizes.

Contains some rather mild and one-sided Trixlight.
Has absolutely nothing to do with Don Quixote.

Starlight’s observes her friends being pulled across Equestria for Hearthswarming this year, leaving her alone.
But amidst the raging blizzard, a newer friend arrives to show her that she will never be truly alone, so long as she can help it.

With Twilight teaching Starlight about the Hearth's Warming spirit, Starlight thinks it's necessary to give Trixie, her new best friend, a gift. However, she has only been with Trixie for a month and has not gotten to know her too well. Certainly now well enough to give a perfect gift.

Spike is primed and ready to help her out.

The great and powerful Trixie has left ponyville, seemingly never to return. No one would notice, right? She was never popular enough for someone to care where she went was she? Wrong, because someone did care, and they found something very surprising. A letter addressed to princess Celestia. What does this letter say? Why did she write it? Why did she leave? Most importantly, will she ever come back?

One evening on the eve of the Grand Galloping Gala, Starlight Glimmer can think of only one pony she wants to be her plus one, her best friend Trixie. Seeing no other alternative but to face her fears and ask Trixie out herself, Starlight pays the show mare a visit. The discussion that ensues however, is far from what Starlight was expecting. She just can't understand how Trixie is only a size Ursa Minor.
