    Author update!

I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

    Welp, another year older and...

...still writing ponies. (Among other things, granted.)

Update to the Isekai coming tonight! And some additional details and change of plans.

First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.

Getting back on track and some news about GapJaxie · 4:36am Jan 11th, 2019

So this week was a bit taxing as some friends can attest. But I'm getting back on track. Starting back again with Ranger tomorrow night, followed by Etheria's Sunset and Starcraft, I'll be back on my day by day schedule.

In other more important news, our very own GapJaxie was in a nasty accident today.

He's... well, not okay, but thankfully still with us. He was rear-ended by a truck and the final count per him is:

Artist's rendition

a concussion, contusions, muscle tears my torso, several bruised ribs, and they're sending me in for an X-ray tomorrow to make sure I don't have a rib fracture

Now, Jaxie is a very good friend of mine, and has always been a very supportive, positive influence in my life even if he won't admit it. So I'm naturally baffled, worried, terrified at might-have-beens and also relieved in ways I can't really quantify accurately. If you're a friend, a fan or simply want to drop him off a "get better" message, don't hesitate to do so.

For myself, I'm glad he's up and about, even with all of that.

Get better, bro!

Oh shit.

~Skeeter The Lurker

Thank God for seat belts and air bags. My son was in an accident last week that knocked all the windows out and caved in the driver's side, but no injuries other than a tiny scratch and glass all over.

Get better quick, Jax!

Oh, yikes! Thanks for letting us know; I'm really glad that that wasn't worse.
Not sure whether you mean dropping him a message here or some more direct way, so I'll do both: I hope you get better soon, GaPJaxie!

The airbag did not successfully deploy! Which explains the superficial damage to my face. Nothing too bad luckily, just a good smack on the forehead.

The seat belt, by contrast, kicked the crap out of me exactly like it was supposed to. It is the reason I have damaged ribs and an undamaged spine.

Ouch. Hope you recover quickly and efficiently, with no continuance.

4995044
Well... I mean... uhh... 50% success rate is why we have redundancies, right?
Shit.

Get better soon and try not to laugh, it might be the best medicine but if it is, it belongs in the same category as Buckleys.

Glad to hear the safety devices functioned the way they were supposed to, sad to hear that they were necessary. Hope you're back to 100% soon!

4995044
It's better for the air bag to not go off than go off wrong, I guess. Hope you heal up well.

4995044 4995114 Yeah, the one accident I was in where an airbag deployed (they taste *terrible* by the way) it rammed my left hand up into the windshield hard enough to break it (the windshield, not the hand...quite) and it was about an hour or two before I figured out just *why* my hand hurt so much. Oh, yeah. That busted out spot on the windshield matches the heel of my hand. Ouch. Still, it beat eating the steering wheel, which was the alternative.

4995044
Wish you nice recovery. As nice as they get. And a fast one too.

4995044
Get better soon!

4995044 I'm very glad you're okay, at least for "just survived a serious accident" okay.

a good smack on the forehead

Steering wheel?

4995044
Better a seatbelt injury than the kind of injuries you would have gotten from not wearing it!
Now I can only wish you to not have the same experience I had the last time I cracked a rib: first, to have to sleep sitting up, and second, to be left with a very slightly displaced rib that bothers me a little if I get cold.

Hell, I thought that photo he posted last night was a full and solely property-based account of the damage. Hopefully the ribs are just bruised... sorry about all that, man.

4995044
Good to hear your spine is okay.

Hoping for a speedy recovery.

4995044
Glad you're still with us.

4995044
That sucks but I'm really glad it wasn't worse. :fluttershyouch: Hope you recover swiftly.

4995044
Sod. Well at least the seatbelt kept you from going on an adventure...

4995044
Take it easy man!

4995044
Here's hoping you can shift those ribs to "undamaged" soon. Among all the other issues.

4995044

Jaxie you're a good friend and I know you don't want to live as a vegetable, so I'll let the doctors know your wishes and that they should just turn off the life-support.

4995044
Yikes! Healthy, recovery-promoting vibes to you!

4995044
Glad you’re (mostly) okay! Just take it easy for the next little while and let your body recuperate. Been there with a cracked rib - it’s no fun at all! But on the other hand it is a good excuse to spend time reading and writing!

Don't die, you buttmunch! D: I take your current ability to update us on your status as positive for your future prognoses. To a speedy recovery!

4995044
Rest up and get better soon, ya mook.

4995044
You're very lucky, comparatively speaking. I'm so glad to hear you're okay. Thank Friendship you were smart enough to wear your belt!

You might be able to sue the car company for a defective airbag to cover medical costs. :ajbemused:

Anyway, best wishes on your recovery.

Christ in a hat, dude. I hope recovery is swift and painless.

4995147

Yup. I've got a kick ass bruised right in the middle of my forehead. Also, both of my knees are f***** up from where they hit the dash and my shoes actually flew off my feet.

It would be a really cool story were it not for how much pain I'm in right now.

4995201

Two to three weeks recovery they say

4995202

:fluttershysad: Sniff.

You're just such a good friend man.

4995370

It should be reasonably swift, but painless is not on the table.

A sharp burning sensation in your ribs is nature's way of telling you that maybe you don't need to sit up right now and you can just stay in bed.

4995378 Don't sneeze.

4995044
Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry you’re in so much pain but so happy you’re still with us! Car accidents have taken quite a few of my friends over the years, I’m glad you were wearing your belt! And hello car company, why didn’t your airbag go off.

4995044 I just found this post now. I hope you're feeling better? And that the brain damage isn't too bad for you to finish your trilogy. You have to do that before your next accident.

5006138

Actually, I died. My undead corpse just continues to shuffle around and make excuses about not writing ponyfic.

5006145 I'm sorry to hear that. Can I have your posters?

5006166

They're not posters they're wall scrolls.

Alright, I am slightly behind the times here. D:

At least I found out about it by Jaxie telling me his ribs barely hurt any more! So there's that.
