    Tradition

This one's particular poignant. Singing this on January 1 is a twelve year tradition at this point.

    So fun facts
    1) Did you know you don't have to be epileptic to have seizures?
    2) and if you have a seizure lasting longer than five minutes you just straight out have a 20% chance of dying in the next thirty days, apparently

Two Martyrs Fall for Each Other

Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.

    Commissions Open: An Autobiography

Commission rates $20USD per 1,000 words. Story ideas expected between 4K-20K preferable. Just as a heads up, I’m trying to put as much of my focus as I can into original work for publication, so I might close slots quickly or be selective with the ideas I take. Does not have to be pony, but obviously I’m going to be better or more interested in either original fiction or franchises I’m familiar

    Blinded by Delight

My brain diagnosis ended up way funnier than "We'll name it after you". It turned out to be "We know this is theoretically possible because there was a recorded case of it happening once in 2003". It turns out that if you have bipolar disorder and ADHD and PTSD and a traumatic brain injury, you get sick in a way that should only be possible for people who have no

    EFNW

I planned on making it this year but then ran into an unfortunate case of the kill-me-deads. In the moment I needed to make a call whether to cancel or not, and I knew I was dying from something but didn't know if it was going to be an easy treatment or not.

Warning: Zootopia · 3:10pm Apr 4th, 2016

So I just saw Zootopia and it was... it was so good. I haven't been this happy in a long time, and so... I'm so sorry.

Spoilers and a legitimate reason to hate me after the break, sorry but I was lying about that first sorry.

Judy Hopps was on ticket duty again. She did it once a month at this point, just to make her parents happy. She saved up enough photos on the job to cover most of the other days of the month, and it was nice to get back to her phone ringing, her phone was ringing.

It was Nick. Just because he got the day off doesn't mean he got to annoy her while she was on... it was still real police work, even if he did get fidgety!

"What, Nick?" She growled as she accepted the call?

"Carrots, someone's in your apartment. I think he broke in, he looks shady!"

"Nick? What-"

"Look, just... hurry! Alright?"

The dumb fox hung up on her.

The dumb fox hung up on her and there was somebody in her crappy apartment!

Judy bounded into her little meter maid car and sped off. Her apartment was only three blocks away... two, now, that she dodged that gazelle pedestrian that strayed from the herd. One block, and she managed to get the tires squealing on this thing since her requisition to get it a little souped up got through...

Through the front door, up three flights up steps Judy bounced. Her apartment door was slightly open, but she couldn't see inside. She reached for her stun gun, hand on holster, as one bunny foot kicked the door wide open.

"THIS IS THE ZPD, HANDS IN THE AIR WHERE I CAN- oh, damn it, Nick, what are you doing?"

Her apartment was covered in rose petals, even where rose petals simply Should Not Be. Nick leaned against the doorframe with the most ridiculous, toothy, obnoxious grin. He'd tucked in his shirt, white with a black bow tie. Clip on, obviously, or else she wouldn't even believe it was him. In the center of the room was a small, circular table made up like the best restaurant in the city's, with a silver candelabra and two plates of something small on square plates, so it was obviously expensive.

"It was me," Nick admitted, "I was the shady looking guy who broke into your apartment."

Where is the upvote button for blog posts?

I have watched it three times so far. There are a ton of small details that you miss the first time through that you can take the time to spot on a second viewing. Fans of Zootopia unite!

A fox chasing rabbit tail? Scandalous! Also, very cute.

Just upvote the first comment you see where I say something like, oh I don't know, I accidentally on purpose wrote the outline for an entire fic and next scene stemming from this introduction because I am the best kind of terrible person.

3847437 If you publish a Zootopia fanfic somewhere else, please give us a blog post with a link.

...I still need to see this movie.

(So I totally didn't read anything in your blog after the spoiler warning. :raritywink:)

3847463 I have to applaud you for scouring through my entire library. Well played, numbers. Well fucking played.

I want 8000 words in 2 days or else you turn in your badge

I had the choice between going with a bunch of friends and watching Batman V Superman, or going to see Zootopia on my own.

So I laughed in their faces, told them politely to go fuck themselves, and watched a bunny being adorable for an hour and a half.

3847476

You can Zoop if you want to
You can leave your friends behind
Because your friends won't Zoop
And if they don't Zoop
Well they're no friends of mine

3847476 You chose... wisely.

I've heard nothing but bad things about a joyless 3 hour cgi marathon of "dark and gritty superhero" garbage.

I think going to see the well-written, well-animated, cute, funny, clever, cute, surprisingly deep and thoughtful, and downright adorable Zootopia was a damn fine idea.

One day, someone is going to make a Superman movie that's fun, uplifting, patriotic, still have some cool action sequences, and has just enough camp to keep it definitively light-hearted but not too corny... But they have to get the "serious, maudlin, 3deep5me" superhero movies out of the way first.

I'm not sorry I ignored the 'warning'.

Moar plz.

Nick and Juddy is the best thing to happen to cartoon movies in forever. <3

The hell...? Do I want to see what happens when you write about other things than pony like, let's say, real people fic, Numbers?

*looks at the XCOM blogs*

Oh...

3847612

I can be totally legitimate thank you.

Also see all the Pandemonium blogs, the Paranoia blogs, the educational blogs I've been doing, the Flash Fiction blogs...

A furry convention I went to a couple of weeks ago showed Zootopia, by renting an entire movie theatre for 200 crazy Internet people. A few even went in fursuits. It was glorious.

I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on video to see it, unfortunately, because one-month-olds don't belong in theaters. Apparently I should really be looking forward to it.

That the two main, opposite-gendered characters get together is like the weakest spoiler for a Disney movie ever, though. Unless there's some other spoiler in your little storylet that I'm missing, in which case don't tell me.

3847721 Keep in mind that just because a fanfic writer pairs off characters it doesn't always mean they are actually paired off in the actual story. :ajbemused:

3847795

Nonsense. Equestria is a canonically an omni-ship; everyone knows that.

3847805 The movie itself implies they hook up, but it can be read as friendshipping

Also, get back to work on moonfic you adorable dork.

Augh, and I still haven't even seen Inside Out. :raritydespair:

Commence read.

Nice. Cute.

I find myself questioning how, exactly, this was Disney without Pixar. Zootopia was the greatest thing I've seen in at least a year.

3847483 I'm very okay with this.

Then Nick waggled his eyebrows and turned on the radio, which by some freak cosmic coincidence sucked the entire city into Equestria.

THERE YOU GO NOW JUST COPY AND PASTE THIS MF'ER INTO A NEW STORY AND HIT SUBMIT

but seriously, yes to Zootopia fanfic.

You heard the 3848693

Zootopia was fantastic.

My only complaints are minor left-brain quibbles that I won't bother you all with :twilightsheepish:

3848693

Give me some time. I'll have Gazelle taunting all four of her tiger back-up dancers with fancy hoof-work before doing terribly un-Disney things to one of them with her favorite toys.

I really need to go see this movie...

I was actually surprised to not see a crossover story already on the site. Ponies can literally go with nearly anything

3849422

My headcanon is it's one of the 6 unmentioned biomes. It's also inside a snowglobe on the mayor's desk.

Because they're very little ponies indeed.

You stop that right now, no shipping of Judy and Nick allowed :derpytongue2:

3849519

I still havnt read that particular story series

Finally saw the movie. Was the most awesome thing I've ever seen. It inspired me to quit my job.

Saw that end coming from the moment Nick mentioned the shady guy :rainbowlaugh:

Well done, Numbers. Well done.
