    Tradition

This one's particular poignant. Singing this on January 1 is a twelve year tradition at this point.

    So fun facts
    1) Did you know you don't have to be epileptic to have seizures?
    2) and if you have a seizure lasting longer than five minutes you just straight out have a 20% chance of dying in the next thirty days, apparently

Two Martyrs Fall for Each Other

Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.

    Commissions Open: An Autobiography

Commission rates $20USD per 1,000 words. Story ideas expected between 4K-20K preferable. Just as a heads up, I’m trying to put as much of my focus as I can into original work for publication, so I might close slots quickly or be selective with the ideas I take. Does not have to be pony, but obviously I’m going to be better or more interested in either original fiction or franchises I’m familiar

    Blinded by Delight

My brain diagnosis ended up way funnier than "We'll name it after you". It turned out to be "We know this is theoretically possible because there was a recorded case of it happening once in 2003". It turns out that if you have bipolar disorder and ADHD and PTSD and a traumatic brain injury, you get sick in a way that should only be possible for people who have no

    EFNW

I planned on making it this year but then ran into an unfortunate case of the kill-me-deads. In the moment I needed to make a call whether to cancel or not, and I knew I was dying from something but didn't know if it was going to be an easy treatment or not.

Two Martyrs Fall for Each Other · 9:46am Nov 22nd, 2023

Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.

Look, yes, this is erotica - if such things are offputting to you, then it’s entirely possible to read only chapters 1 and 3 and have an appreciation of a story I feel strongly about. I’m writing this blog to ask that even if you wouldn’t normally consider such rated stories - trust me. It’s not just porn, it is a good story that I could not imagine being otherwise, that I needed erotica as a language to tell correctly. Which is, uh, why I've had to hide the full size cover art after the break.

Otherwise, I adore chapters 2 and 4. They’re distinctly the upbeats to the downbeats. They’re so full of this wild, chaotic energy that I could only ever have gotten out of these two characters, these two brilliant idiots enabling each other.

It’s the most fun I’ve had writing a relationship that seems, by all accounts, like it should be horribly toxic. Instead their flaws don’t quite contradict each other but amplify each other’s to new and shameless heights. Two characters who bring the worst out of each other, but the worst is their favorite thing about each other. I love that. It really forces the question to me how I consider what a flaw is and what makes a personality trait a flaw. It’s interesting to write a situation where the flaws still read cleanly as negative traits even as the deuteragonists love each other for those things, and the romantic relationship itself that comes out of it is-

Well, I’ll leave that judgement as an exercise for the reader, and instead say I finished writing this story only wanting good things for these two.

Thanks to Rayne the Skunk for the coverart

Success in life is finding something you'd be willing to do for free and then finding someone willing to pay you to do it. That you were this excited for a commission means you have succeeded at life. :rainbowkiss::raritywink:

Aaaaand, you've summed it up much better than I could in my comments on the story. I'd like to think that their long, happy, inexplicable life together(-ish) will be a constant wonder and delight to their friends.
