100 years in the future, where Equestria is a parliamentary republic and cutie marks don't exist. There lived a mare by the name of Shortfuse Skydancer. She died, but woke to find that not all of her was gone from the world. Fearful of the Angel of Death, she attempts to flee from it. It's possible though that all she's done though is trade one frightening figure for one even worse.

Much, much worse.

The Tau Ceti star system is home to a primitive, pre-spaceflight race that next to nobody knows anything about, Leader Tonkin Kaan of the Sinai Junta decides that she wants to know but—is that a pony swimming in the depths of outer space!?

A hundred years ago, a young mare's great-grandfather was stolen from Equestria during the royal wedding of Shining Armour, and Princess Cadance to live out the rest of his days as a slave. Now after all this time, the changeling homeland is now her family's home, and they are slaves just the same.

Carmine Bolton, doesn't feel like a slave, however. She has never seen a changeling in her entire life. So when a travelling trader comes to town claiming to have met one once. She decides that she has to see for herself.

She must meet a changeling, even if it's the last thing she ever does.

In the Year 996 of the Reign of Celestia. Thirteen Equestrian ponies volunteer for service in the International Brigade. Fighting in the far of land of Espanya, as civil war rips their nation apart. The International Brigade fights the good fight, to prevent the destruction of these strangers way of life, as helping others is simply the Equestrian way.

Only three return.

Nurse Redheart, one of the Thirteen Equestrian Volunteers, now struggles to cope with her life as it happens. Struggling with the memory of those long and terrible five years of her life.

The Equestrian Wasteland is a harsh, unforgiving place. It takes you of everything you have, steals all you've ever known and cared about away. Such is the fate of the Alicorns of the former Unity. Everything they have had since the beginning is now gone.

Some have accepted the fate, and have moved on... others... have not. Such is the fate of one Alicorn in particular. 21, the egotistical, rage filled, self proclaimed successor of the Goddess, struggles against the harsh Equestrian Wasteland itself in her quest to punish the villain that stole away her life.

However, that villain might not be the one she thinks.

Everyone remembers how Twilight Sparkle and her friends defeated Nightmare Moon and restored balance and harmony to Equestria, what everyone does not remember, however, was that this was not the first time that it happened.

But I remember. I remember it as clear as day, and as I watched my sister fly away from the Royal Castle in Canterlot, I only wish that I hadn't been in denial.

Everything that happened was my fault.

Cut off from the rest of their forces and running low on ammunition with only a nervous and inept officer to lead them, they're fighting for their lives.
