The Sisters' Moon.

For generations the ponies of Equestria called eclipses by the same name, even while divided by fear and hate. All celebrate it the same way, displaying their affection and love for their close friends and family. To this day, nopony remembers why.

Sunny Starscout discovers this mystery when she and her friends prepare to celebrate their first Sisters' Moon together in the Crystal Brighthouse, and she wants to know the story behind the holiday that bound them even before their reunification. Her only lead is an elderly pony who might just have the answers she seeks.

Now Rarity plans for a very special date at Harmony, the most fashionable restaurant in the city. She's planned every detail to make for a perfect romantic evening, even down to Applejack's dress and hairstyle.

Applejack isn't so sure about that.

The newest threat to harmony comes from above: the sun and the moon themselves. 

It's Equestria's Golden Age of Harmony, and the amulet Princess Twilight Sparkle used for decades to start the day and the night is starting to fail. Moving the sun and moon across the horizon grows more and more difficult with every passing day. If a solution isn't found soon Equestria will be condemned to eternal day or night, never changing again.

Hope remains, though, as Twilight looks to the only two ponies in Equestria who might have answers about the sun and moon. It remains to be seen if she is ready to hear those answers, or to do what must be done to maintain harmony.

Thousands of years after the Golden Age of Harmony, Equestria has lost its way. Greed and power rule the day, and friendship is a luxury.

According to legend, in Equestria's darkest hour, the Protectors of Equestria will return to lead the way back to harmony.

Sometimes, though, legends need a little push.

Twilight and her friends know the routine. The Cutie Map summons one or more of them by making their cutie marks glow and flash. They come to the castle to answer the summons then depart to some distant part of Equestria to solve a friendship problem. They've all done it many times before.

But whose cutie mark is that? It's not anypony in Ponyville. Or anypony Twilight's friends have met.

What's a pony to do when one morning their cutie mark starts glowing, and they have no idea why?

It was supposed to be a simple lesson in consent.

After Twilight discovers that Starlight Glimmer placed their friends under mind control magic, she proposes some turnabout to demonstrate the importance of consent. Instead it reveals one of Starlight's deepest secrets.

Now Twilight must decide if she's willing to take things further to help her friend, even if it takes her far out of her own experience.

They may have brought the magic back to Equestria, but they still have a long way to go. Years of distrust don't vanish overnight. Sometimes leading by example is best, and letting everypony see new friendships being built is the best example they can provide.

The pony tribes live divided from one another by generations of fear and mistrust. Long ago, however, they mingled, and married, freely with each other. What would happen when that genetic legacy expresses itself again, and a pegasus is born in Maretime Bay? Are there any ponies who might do their part to help such an ill-fated foal?
