Just using this to track stories really.

They say that "no news is good news", but for one J. Jonah Jameson that simply isn't true.

Ponies are content to live in peace, and that means nothing to report on. But one fateful day, Princess Celestia sends over her faithful student to manage the Summer Sun Celebration in a small town called Ponyville. From there the real adventures start, and what are heroes without their detractors?

Interesting looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Ah good old JJ. I really have to give you points for keeping him in character.

Thanks for commenting and reading. Writing for JJ is pretty nice experience. I decided to go for the classic "Stern, but fair" approach before he became mayor of New York. Then again, he still is pretty much the same yelling bastard we all love.

Good chapter. Wonder what he's going to change the story into when Nightmare Moon show's up.

Its a good thing he didnt publish that already. It would have gone down as the Dewey defeats Truman of Equestrian Journalism.

Hopefully something newsworthy.

But the early polls projected that Twilight was crazy!

And so begins the adventure of Twilight Sparkle, aka the best time of JJ's life. His boring boring life in Ponyville. He actually gets to report something.

Wow JJ got guts. Of course he's also a bit nuts. Will he survive? What will the ponyville citizens think of his actions?

Great chapter up until the flashback. Hopefully we will not be staying in the past for very long.

I've decided that the best way to introduce more segments of the past is to place them as chapters where the regular show loses focus on Ponyville or the main cast (Most CMC Episodes, Canterlot Episodes, etc). This should help not interrupt the flow of the story.

Another good chapter. Looking forward to seeing how Ponyville and the mane six will react to the article.

Can't fault the guy's logic.

I think violently.

Here is your ticket to the Gala JJ -- OUCH...

I do not understand why this story is 9/4. It deserves better.

Reading through the story right now, but I've already run into something that stretches my Willing Suspension of Disbelief in the first chapter. It isn't that JJ turned into a pony (that sort of thing happens a lot in comic books; I'm going to choose to blame Dr. Doom this time), ironically. No, it's that he stayed in Ponyville instead of moving to the city.

Manehatten? Vanhoover? Los Pegasus? I'm sure they have their share of murders, scandals, and general action. Ponyville? It's a cartoon version of Smalltown, USA, the place where everyone knows your name and nothing ever happens. Hell on Earth for reporters, in other words.

Poor JJ. As time goes on he's going to have a harder time making sure his secret stay's secret.

It's fine. Might be because even though JJ is a pretty popular character, he's still just a minor character. Really all I'm doing is transporting a minor character in one universe to be a minor character in another universe. Nothing too exiting there.

In my mind I pictured that JJ came to the conclusion that moving into a more populated city would draw a lot of attention then the unknown town of Ponyville. His papers would draw attention pretty quickly at huge population centers and then lead to ponies wondering about where he came from. Don't want to tell the somewhat panicky sentient ponies that you came form another universe. Ponyville on the other hand allows him to do reporting and not draw too much attention. Even if it's mind numbingly dull.

Sorry that I didn't convey that better in my earlier chapters.

Well maybe he could try to keep his opinion to himself once in a while...

Nah

Great chapter once again. Nice to see you adding some originnal stuff to the timeline, and not just stuff from the episodes.
