And this is such a delicious things to read. Although that scene with Mr. Cake... Oh my... I hope he survives, I really do. He didn't deserve to die, but in a way, there's a lot of ponies that didn't deserve to die that died. It's only because we are not emotionally invested in them that we aren't really sad about it. But if we know... Sadness galore, right there. Do wonder how Mrs. Cake will react though... it won't be pretty.
A moment of silence to those that who have fallen in this chapter.
i knew Carrot Cake would resist. I didn't know he'd go that far though... I'm not one for doom and gloom forecasts when it comes to these times. I just hope that there won't be many losses. I am sadly at a loss for words. Maybe my last big review just sucked all the words out of me. lol.
This was pretty awesome. I'll address the scene in the Spa in a few but I'd love to get to the less cloppy parts first. I am happy to see that Diamond Tiara wasn't really involved in the story so far, or hasn't had any major bitch parts like she usually does when Silver Spoon is involved. Silver Spoon being a nice pony isn't much of a surprise, since the ruling for Babs Seed might apply in some ways to Silver Spoon. Because Silver Spoon is so rich, ect, and on the chance that she grew up with Diamond Tiara, she believed no other pony would ever want to be her friend because she saw herself as so snooty, ect.
Moving on to the clop. Man... I am just loving what you have done with Fluttershy. She's a straight up butterfly pony now. For some reason that didn't stick with her transformation scene a few chapters back. I am not surprised to see that Aloe and Lotus would likely fall so easily to sex, as the two have been kind of unique to begin with and because they live in a spa. Implications and rumors about spas are well played out in here and it's quite funny to see too. I am further pleased with the fact that you set off Rarity for like the next chapter, or a few chapters into the future. This clop scene highlighted all of Fluttershy's new abilities and I'm hoping she is the only butterfly pony to exist in this story.
That's all. I am in deep curiosity as far as when the final part of the trilogy will appear and where this one will end. This seems like an ending point but there are still a few small loose ends. Plus this is still just the second part of the trilogy. Either part three is going to be sadly short or you're going to blow some minds with whatever epicness you can unleash in part three. I hope it's the latter, but I'll read either way.
YEAH SNOWFLAKE!
And I'd say you nailed the dramatic feel of this chapter. Holy balls, you killed Carrot!
And the final bit with Silver Spoon, oh, that was beautiful.
*Stands up and starts slow clap*
Rainbow Dash always gets suckerpunched. Must be in her contract.
Good chapter. Loved Fluttershys scene especially, though I thought this would be a sneaky takeover via spa and sugarcube corner instead of the haxxors Twilight method.
2612931 Twilight's a good boss. She likes her employees to feel needed, and get out and have some fun.
And really, it's the "Getting out and having fun" thing they were most concerned about...
Though Pinkie Pie didn't get to have fun. Quite the opposite.
Another awesome chapter.
I'm glad Carrot resisted, but I certainly didn't see him jumping to his death. What I loved most about incidents like this is that they drive home the cost Twilight and her friends will have to pay to bring about the 'glorious age of Shadow'. Up until this point, they really haven't had to face the cost of what they are going to do, it's been all fun and orgies. Pinkie cared for the Cakes a lot, and she basically drove Carrot to his death. She will have to face Cupcake at some point in the future, wonder how that will go.
I do hope that no dues ex machina saved him from the fall. As sad as it was to see him die, his death has powerful meaning.
Snowflake saving the day from Rainbow was outstanding! I'm glad the foals escaped.
Onto Fluttershy! The thought that the butterfly metamorphosis went beyond just wings didn't occur to me, I'm liking what I'm seeing. I want to see more of her altered personality too. Out of those changed, Fluttershy would have a big personality change followed by Applejack simply because she had her whole mind torn apart and rebuilt.
So, Twilight can summon forth a Shadow sea and just corrupt with overwhelming power now. Celestia, Luna, and Starswirl need to get back and erect some massive magical defense or Twilight will simply walk across Equestria and corrupt it.
Though, with Ponyville's fall the enemy is now entrenched. They have access to many more resources than they did in the forest as well as the train system. Ponyville will make an excellent forward base for Twilight.
I find it deplorable that a pizza delivery colt hasn't walked in on a building full of corrupted mares yet. Though I'm 50-50 on whether he should respond by rolling up his sleaves and finally understanding what all those steamy "training" videos had been preparing him for and escaping unscathed.
was rainbow going to kill those foals or something becuse it looked like it was.
Anyone wanna bet instead of helping Pinkie deal with the loss of Mr. Cake, Twilight or Umbra's just gonna mind rape her to forget him.
I wonder how Pinkie is going to react to this situation? Will she blame Carrot, herself, or Twilight/shadow?
I am not sure which way the story will go but any of these are plausible.
I think blaming Carrot would only happen if Pinkie is so in the Shadows thrall that she is forced to blame the victim.
Blaming herself would give us interesting conversations between Twilight, Umbra, and Pinkie.
The last one might be the most interesting if she blames the source of her wanting to do this in the first place. Of those in Umbras thrall of the 5 non Twilight main six Pinkie is the only one where I could see actually being upset with Twilight and or Umbra. She is the one that can break the rules, at least some of the time. While the others to varying degrees seem completely under the thumb of the shadow Pinkie shows aspects of not being under complete control such as not calling Twilight Mistress and the like at times. She also seems to show the most independence and has stated that Twilight will save them all from this (which would imply that she can think of being separate from the shadow which everybody else including Twilight do not seem to currently share).
I am not sure what would happen if Pinkie blamed the shadow for this situation but it would certainly lead to interesting and far reaching events.
Due to how upset Pinkie is feeling (upset enough the Twilight can feel it) I believe that the second two options are more likely (or a third option I have yet to think of). I also wonder if Carrot is dead or if Pinkie (or some other pony) would be able to help him.
Also from the previous chapter I think Pinkie lost less of her innocence but instead lost more of her restraint. Some of the stuff written before Pinkie was turned seemed to imply that she had already done things that some would say would imply she was not "innocent" (though it sounded far tamer than what she is into now) but now she has no restraint on who, what, or when she acts on her impulses. I see this affecting her in combat scene. It may not be intentional but Pinkie seemed to show less restraint and realizes it. She knocked a pony through a roof and thought "whoops" (she also threw a piece of roof at another knocking him out) and on top of that I think that the her going into a fight that fast in that way may also be evidence of Pinkie having less restraint. She may not realize it but I think Pinkie is more willing to do many things she was not into before and combat may be one.
Of course I am probably over thinking it and trying to make Pinkie too important to the plot...

I'm thinking Twilight gives Pinkie some speech about the sacrifices that need to be made to "save" everyone in Equestria. It would be along the same lines as Twilight's internal thoughts before she killed Silent Moon. Whether Pinkie accepts said speech or not is another matter.
I agree with you that Pinkie seems to be the least changed out of the group. At the same time she also seems to be getting the most enjoyment out of the Shadow's power since, like you said, it has removed her restraints. It will be interesting to see how Carrot's death affects her going forward, especially if she meets up with Cup Cake and the twins again.
To Carrot Cake: The most loyal husband in equestria, preferring to die rather than cheat on his wife...
Snowflake: the ultimate badass. YEEEAAAAAH!
Go Bass Cannon! Vinyl Scratch is awesome. Pity about Octavia, though.
I also thought that Snowflake was named Horse Power, but I figured it out from the description.
dayum, Mister cake pulled a River Song.

Fluttershys amazing hypno-wings!
2614479 ya the feels
Vinyl Scratch and her Bass Cannon
Snowflake sucker punching RD with an epic "YEEEAAAHHH!"
The death (probably?) of Carrot Cake RIP Carrot Cake
I think that was a great chapter. I also think the self sacrifice of Mr. Cake and the near death experience of Rainbow Dash might start to make cracks in the shadows hold of Pinkie and maybe RD.
YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! MY MOTHA FUCKING N***A SNOWFLAKE!!!
You killed off Mr. Cake tho... Why? W-Why? He didn't need to die! You sick, twisted, demented bastard!
Poor Mr. Cake, unable to see the freedom of love unbound by culturally enforced monogamy. All he needed was a taste of free love, & he could have seen that loving Mrs. Cake doesn't mean he can't also love others.
