I'm a guy who writes amateur fanfiction about colorful ponies. It sucks. I'm constantly rewriting things because I know they suck, and I try to make them not suck. I'm thirteen; give me a break.

Everyone in the Foundation knew 682. Most of them knew not to talk about him. Not to talk to him, more importantly, for fear of invoking his wrath. That creature made every single thing in the facility frightened, and they knew they couldn't do a thing about it. So what happens when he vanishes without a trace? Chaos. Absolute chaos. But this isn't about what happened there; this is about what happens to where he was transported. Which, coincidentally, is precisely the same thing.

Dedicated to everyone's favorite hard-to-kill reptile. You my boy, hamdoggz, for providing such an awesome rendition of it.

New to the whole SCP thing, so let me know if I overstep any boundaries. Also, let me know if you want to see more of this. I'm just playing around, so do tell.

Oh shit, this'll be interesting.

Aw shit, this crossover again?
Meaning, SCP and Ponies, not this SCP in specific
dis r teh skurry bruh
:pinkiecrazy:

Another SCP crossover but with SCP-682?

I don't know whether to be excited or scared. :twilightoops:

I'm pretty fluent in SCP lore, so I'm going to give you a little tip on SCP-682's behavior. While he/she/it does have a docility when not in its rage status, he doesn't like to talk so much. Here, 682's dialog is almost flowery, but when he speaks in SCP lore, he's direct and to the point. He says what he needs to and stops.

When planning his dialog, less is more.

1563678 Well noted. But I figure, y' know, SCP-682 is a pretty smart guy. He sees a new species and wants to instill a bit of fear in them. How else to do that than to verbally obliterate their god-princess?

Wow. I always wanted to see the Elements of Harmony used on 682... This is going to be good! :pinkiehappy:

Knowing 682, it's going to adapt a way around the thing halting its adaptation.

Also, 682 doesn't really need a reason to commit genocide beyond "You're ugly." That's basically its whole reason with humanity.

1564405 No one needs a reason to do anything. He certainly doesn't. If anything, that would be their reason for him torching their world.

1564531

You don't ask why wind blows, or water runs downhill, or grass grows.

Don't ask why 682 slaughters every living thing it comes across.

1565016 May I interrupt, and ask when will the next chapter will be up?

1565057 Hrm... not too long, I'd imagine. I'll definitely have a lot of free time on Wednesday if I can convince my mom to let me stay home because of my braces. Just getting them, you see. This'll probably be my last year of being able to do that, though. :(

Ah, middle school. I'll miss you. Actually, probably not. A hellhole, that place is.

keep up the great work mate:twilightsmile:

and was the only SCP that teleported? :trollestia:

Whelp. They're ****ed.
This is rather interesting.

1570474 Read it again, don't miss the Attendum's.

Hi, I'm from the Society of Classy Pimps. Please return Lizard Suave to the correct dimension quickly before he brings out his Pimp Slap of Kill Everything.
I'm impressed. A fic off the main site without a single misspelling of "SCP". You have my attention. And my upboat.
but if ever I see "SPC" a shark is getting punched

It chuckled again. "You attacked first."

Oh shit is on!

This story comes to mind all of a sudden.

This quote from the story in particular. It's left vague, but it's pretty obviously that the file in question that they're talking about 682.

Doctor, this is not something you're prepared to deal with; it's an out-of-context problem straight out of a science fiction writer's mind. You can't contain it because it figures out what you're doing and breaks out. Every time you try to do something about it, it gets stronger. One day you're going to try something outrageous and it's going to outsmart you, then it's going to kill you. Then it's going to kill everything else it can. Then someday a few billion years from now, when lightning strikes a pool of mud and some sort of primitive self-replicating molecule forms, it's going to find and destroy that. This thing is the worst case scenario.

1578046 That is so true. And how many times has 682 broken out and killed people as a result of experimenting?

1578082

I haven't a clue anymore. Many times. Sometimes it breaks out because of experiments on other things that weren't even related to it.

1563703 Um.... by fucking EATING their god-princess?

Cause, y'know,that's sorta his thing:rainbowlaugh:

1579163 To be fair, he WAS incased by a shield many hundreds of times more powerful than the Canterlot bubble at the time.

I'd like to ask, when do we get a new chapter?

Oh, and Journeyman? If you do read this, sorry for deleting that whole comment chain. It just devolved into a long discussion that I couldn't justify without using spoilers. I did still take your comments into consideration, though.

Sorry again. Comment-deleting always seems like a dispicable thing to me.

This is quite possibly the most awesome thing SCP-related ever. Of all time.

This deserves many :moustache::moustache::moustache::moustache:'s

I hope you weren't expecting anything... climactic.

"I've cheated you. I cheated all of you and you didn't even notice."

Oh this is going to be interesting.
And 682 is somehow influenced by the very nature of equestria itself to be a very very very little bit more peaceful. Now lets just see if it cleanses everything in canterlot or narrows it down to only changelings and everything thats in the way.

1640798 Until whatever rune he's mentioning is adapted around. Then 682 is free to hate all it damn well pleases.

Enough hate to drown an army of Windigoes to death in their own power source

1640903
Yea and there could be a major windigo invasion and the harmony between ponies could be powerless to stop and then 682 simply hates them all to death and the ponies are all like :pinkiegasp: butbut love&tolerance!

1640945

Ponies need to learn... about The Power Of Hate.

Power of Love and Power of Friendship are old news.

I'm rooting for 682 to be able to shut out the intrusion in his mind.
Stay (blood)thirsty, my friend!

Awww shiet someone call discord cause this is gonna get really chaotic:rainbowlaugh:

Oh... Oh, I like where this is going xD

I fucking love 682.

I hate to be a story Nazi, but a few more inconsistencies:

SCP-682 regenerates when he eats organic material. Devouring the changelings or the dead ponies would have healed him, and that's something he would have known

His rage status. You could kind Hand Wave it to say that the unicorns could contain him with their magic, but i expect SCP-682 to rage at least once. And shout several profanities in the process.

Celestia should REALLY know better. I know that she knows there's a possible invasion threat, but she DEFINITELY knows there's a creature in the bowels of the palace that has weaponized rage.

The rune. Yes, it is forcibly making him docile to ponies, but he does have the ability to adapt around paranormal items and powers. You can argue that it can affect him for now, but without a good reason, it shouldn't stay that way.

1640974
Oh boy i just figured out how 682 works! It hates everything so much that the hate enabels it to regenerate every sustained injury because in death one cannot express this immense hate through temporary spouts of rage to decimate everything.
Like Kratos or Asura.

1641096 Oh, my dear story nazi. Let's get this show on the road, hmm?

1. No real need to feed. He's already begun to regenerate now that the rune has disappeared with the prison, plus he is in a rage state.

2. He did have some unusually nice living conditions.

3. Celestia clearly thinks he's just a regular beast with intelligence, and that she had enough time before her unicorns gassed out.

4. False. Please read again. The rune is keeping him from regenerating and adapting. However, it is not the thing hindering his ability to hate. It was merely keeping him from adapting to the parasite.

1641205
Counterargument!

He DOES need to feed; that's how he regains mass. It doesn't just spontaneous regrow, he needs matters to consume on order to regrow himself. The reason why they kept him in acid was, even though he adapted against it, it was still the best way to contain him.

Being nice doesn't help. He eats or kills everyone that comes into contact with him, with the exception of Doctor Clef and SCP-053. And Able, but that's because he killed his ass. All those D-Class personnel are dead, simply because he hates all other forms of life. All life, not just humans.

That's odd, because you saw in the previous chapter that Celestia claims intelligence to SCP-682. Also, he made VERY clear, and not in his rage state, that he was very willing to kill everything he sees if he ever escapes. Seeing that he kicked the shit out of the guards before they established containment, she has every reason to believe him.

You're wording was a little wonky there. To me, it looked the rune itself was what was causing the docility towards ponies. However, there's nothing from stopping him from adapting to the spell, and then adapting to the parasite. He's done this several times with other SCPs; just look at the termination log. Let's say the spell works perfectly and blocks his ability to hate ponies. He can still adapt to it and override it. That's the nature of his powers. He's a Darwinist. What doesn't kill him, makes him stronger.

1641324

Maybe the best way to adapt to living in Equestria... is to become able to harness the power of friendship?:rainbowderp:

He could be evolving friendlier...

1641636
:rainbowlaugh: Honestly, with all the shit that goes on in that world, that is a rational reason.

1641324 Counter-counter Arguement!

1. False again. As stated here, 682 does not require organic matter to regenerate. He uses it to gain energy in a much more direct manner than regular organisms do:

0400: Exposure. SCP-682 began to tear at the point of contact, causing massive trauma to the area. SCP-682 requests several times to know what it has been exposed to.

0800: Crystallization begins, spreading much slower than normal.

1200: SCP-682 shows signs of extreme pain, and begins having seizures

1300: Crystallization stops at 62% conversion. Crystallized area explodes, causing massive physical trauma to SCP-682

1400: SCP-682 recovers from exposure, despite the loss of limbs and organs. SCP-682 begins regeneration, stating that it will attempt to kill and consume all staff involved in Event 682-E18.

2. It is implied that the parasite also aids in his own docility, plus there is no acid to keep him constantly irritated.

3. A good point, but this is also coming from the ruler who is willing to entrust the safety of her kingdom to six near-adults. She should have also known that Nightmare Moon was coming back, and that she was very dangerous. It is also implied that the reason for this lapse in judgement was her own arrogance, as 682 explicitly states twice across both chapters.

4. I agree that my wording was wonky. You will never find me disagreeing with any similar statement. However, this reason is still flawed. The rune/spell was gone when his prison was broken. Done. Kaput. There was no need for him to adapt to the adaption-inhibiting rune, because it went away quickly enough. Hence why he was able to overcome the parasite and push it back a bit. And what I'm going for with the parasite is sort of best explained with an analogy.

In Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock is faced with his greatest enemy: Moriarty. His antithesis, if you will. He is everything Sherlock is but without the restriction of wanting to be good. Every single move the other makes, the other adapts, and the only way one could win is if they both perished together. Not that I'm implying that the parasite would win, but still, the message is there. How is 682 to fully adapt to something that is just as resilient, and represents all the good that is held in the world?

Oh, and, by the way, it is also stated that 682 never keeps his resistances. They always wear off after a while.

1641715
SCIENCE!!!

1. SCP 409 was the very first termination order, so they did not know the extent of his full regeneration capabilities. He adapted and the SCP failed, but he still regenerated. Knowing just how fucked they were at the extent of his ability to heal, they tossed him into the vat of acid, which he also adapted to. His body adapts the same way ours canabalizes itself when we starve. The excess calories and body mass he has is broken down and mutates his cellular structure, adapting to the threat, instead of using the nutrients to keep the body alive like us. This decreases his mass, but renders him immune to the threat. He keeps regenerating his body, because the duche has escaped 6 times and eaten staff.

The energy to regenerate just doesn't come to him; that violates the laws of conservation of matter and energy, anyway. If, for the sake of argument, that was the case, the Foundation would have been fucked beyond belief and could do nothing to stop him from destroying the entire facility.

I'd counter the others... but I'm tired right now.

Science is wearing me out. I've read to much today and my neck hurts. Maybe 173 could help. He's the world's greatest chiropracter

1641910 Then tell me, how is he to regenerate when they FIRED HIM INTO A BLACK HOLE?
