They met a while ago. The circumstances under which this occurred were not entirely normal, but that whole event was in the past. Starlight Glimmer and Daring Do had eventually, in some way or another, allowed themselves to grow close... and that was good enough for them.

They finally made it out of that desolate realm.

And now they had each other.
