……Zipp, is there something you’re not telling us?

I know these chapters are short but this is some genuinely engaging writing, and you have me hooked for the intricacies of what could have been an incredibly simple rescue mission. I eagerly anticipate the next release

Thanks! I'm new to writing short chapters, so that's great to hear!

Now THIS is secrets of starlight
though i liked the special how it is

The two of them headed into the depths of the jungle, and as they disappeared into the trees, Starlight asked, “So, know any good traveling songs?”

“No, but I bet you do.”

Starlight beamed. “Right you are! And a one, and a two…”

I personally would go with either of these two songs

That spell Starlight cast was an entirely logical one for her to learn to deal with anxieties related to having cause multiple apocalypses (sp?) each of which got overwritten. It also simplifies a plot point.

Weirdly enough the fact it only seems to work forward (in the target's frame of reference) from when it was cast, but the actually effect is delayed makes it similar to a series of spells I invested for the 3.5 D&D Pony game I run on Discord. The are called Secret Business (or Secret Unpleasantness for the ones that don't require a willing target).

Mind magic to loosen Zipp's tongue?

“Right. I imagine they took the form of lightning because of another emotion. If I had to guess…” She looked Zipp up and down again. “Maybe fear?”

Ah! And here I thought you were just playing fast and loose with the 'magiobiology' or whatever. Nice expanding of the world!
