Love where this is going. With how hopeless this looks, I'd love to see exactly how you plan to turn this around for her, if you even decide to. Regardless, I wonder how long it'll take her to figure something out. All she has is her brain and what little strength she might have.

I'd suspect their ultimate goal would be sacrifice given I'd imagine the sacrifice of a Alicorn would likely generate an insane amount of power, vastly more than a normal sacrifice of a powerful magical being or a large group of sacrifices.
Though that at least would leave certain actions off the table that might weaken the amount of power they'd get from sacrificing her.

Or neither, they escape with heavy losses and Twilight is still in the Underdark without her powers and with its many dangers. So, unless she run's across bat pony similar to Drizzt Do'Urden, then its going to be a long tough road ahead of her.

I would say they have something like a matriarchal theocratic oligarchy. There are several noble families, with priestesses like Ilvara at their head, vying for dominance. Lots of dirty politics and backstabbing.
