That's what I figured. They couldn't be bothered to actually wait until the princess needed them and assumed that she did need them and caused problems that could have been avoided had they just obeyed. Twilight and fluttershy and the guards and the princess aren't helpless they don't always need their friends to help them. Also I hope the girls learn that you shouldn't just decide to disobey orders just because you want to. Not without a very good reason.

It's funny because from a totally fresh perspective, I'm sure both Applejack and Big Mac could be mistaken as a pair just as easily as siblings. Otherwise, I liked the little quirk of Rainbow Dash not liking her hoves being touched.
