Sprout was really, truly sorry for what he'd done to all the ponies of Maritime Bay - and beyond - during his power-fueled rampage. Really, he was! But sending him out into an atrociously muddy swamp to search for an obviously mythical flower in order to atone just felt like a bit too much! Plus now he has to deal with an annoyingly lost pink pegasus. And what's this now with the rhyming zebra?!

Huh, that actually works. Now to finish figuring out how exactly Zecora made it all those years. Did she purposely get poisoned by the tree flower? Hmm

That's kind of the idea I was running with, yeah. She figured out how to control the illness, turn into a tree at will, and turn back several centuries later, I guess.

Zecora hummed thoughtfully. “For many years, I was a tree. Now it is time to be me.” She nodded in appreciation of the brief rhyme.

Wait a minute as in the swamp fever how the heck did she get it again

Well this was a pretty interesting story and a very unique pairing here too as well very cool to see Zecora and her rhyming and she needed those two help her to get rid of the Hydra even though she didn't tell them what kind of creature it is and despite how much pipp and sprout arguing with each other they somehow work together to get rid of the Hydra and with that they got the Lily and they finally got out of the swamp and hey not only that they became good friends this was a pretty good story keep up the good work

That was pretty good.

I'm so glad people are enjoying it! Thanks so much for the lovely comment!

I enjoy the story, and no, I couldn't think of a better way to explain Zecora still being around than you did so, nicely done.

Thanks so much, I'm glad!

Zecora seems a jerk for not giving them a full briefing. I would.say the same thing about requiring anything in exchange for potentially lifesaving directions, but she might be old enough that she can't drive it off on her own and/or was trying to give the two of them a common experience to help reunite the tribes (assuming they were fracturing when she became a tree, or she had done enough recon to figure it out after she recovered).
