This story is a sequel to Starcraft: Warriors of Purity
A thousand years have passed since the Battle of the Void against the renegade Xel'naga Amon. Equestria has entered an age of advanced technology and space exploration. The Protoss live alongside the Ponies and the Alicorns are having to learn how to make a universe from scratch.
Twilight has founded a research institute and named it Sphere 211. The facility has a simulator that has an artificial universe contained within.
With the discovery of a magical science called Symbology, Sphere has been working alongside the denizens of the Eternal Sphere to research this new subject.
However, a mysterious threat has arisen that threatens not only the Eternal Sphere, but possibly Equestria as well. The key to stopping this threat may lie with three young humans who have been given strange symbological powers.
The strangest part is that one of the three humans does not belong in the Eternal Sphere.

Star Ocean is an amazing RPG series. Til the end of time is my fav in it to be sure. They have re-released some of the early games, they are still fun now all these years later. The Star Ocean system it is most know for is its skill system. Very different from other RPGs of the time.

I do plan on giving Lyra a bit of a handicap for the early parts, but as long as the enemy isn't too dangerous, she will also hold back.
Did Raynor and Kerrigan bound themself like Lyra and Sweety? Or did he become Zerg to life longer and keep his beloved company?

So... How is death handeld? One life with permanent death or is there respawn via ritual magic etc in the simulated world?
Is there pain sensations for real individuals? Is it one to one or lesser?

Raynor and Kerrigan are outside the scope of this story though if I do try to make a "-verse" out of this, I will consider using Kerrigan sometimes if I find her useful in future stories, again IF I decide to create a "-verse".
Linking one's life to a Xel'naga is risky business and shouldn't be used so liberally because its like the link between Dragonball's Shin and Beerus: one dies and so does the other. It ensures the mortal doesn't age or die as easily as a mortal but they can still be killed. Main reason Sweetie Drops linked with Lyra was because neither wanted to live without the other. I am considering other methods to allowing characters who should be dead to play a part in future stories but once again...see previous paragraph.
I will make a point to mention their child later on but he too was mortal. It's kind of poetic, live countless millennia as a puppet only to give up that eternity for a mortal moment of freedom.
