Great, this first chapter is excellent, it will be interesting see the change between this fic and the past one.
I am curious how will Twilight manage all of this:
1. Help Damian with his traumas.
2. Manage the School of Friendship.
3. Continue with her Princess duties.
4. Her own social life in Ponyville.
And all of this probably as Shining Sparkle, because she can't take the risk of Damian discovering the truth.
I hope to see the next chapter very soon.

I am curious if Miranda sickness is a more deeper problem, and is clear than Celestia didn't trust Damian.
And repeating myself from a comment in the past fic, Damian doesn't have any moral obligation to help Equestria in the war. He technically help the other Equestria, so must be enough for him.
If he will help them must be because they deseve it, and looks than Celestia & Luna only wanna help him for the benefits of his power, so in my opinion they not deserve his help.

Wait i am lost about dates, this is happening in the current Equestria, or was in the past Equestria?
So, the federation was a republicanization project of the old griphon kingdoms? And some ponies try to do the same in Equestria? If this is the reason of the war, i believe than Spencer must choose neutrality. He is from our modern era, he know perfectly what a democratic republic is, and i believe than he will not supporting Celestia to execute ponies who only dreamed to build a better political system, even if he don't understand so much about that.

okay, I tried really hard to don't mess with the dates (what could have happened) but like was said in the chapter, those facts happened in the year of 1553, they are in 1554 and damian was seventeen years in the future, so basically.
1553 - pony revolt - fall of Wallhalla
1554 - where the story happen, including this chapter
1564 - the year that he was teleported to Equestria
1571 - the year he was before going to second Equestria

You know, even with all the blood and attitude of Miranda, is really cute see how she care so much for Damian, is clear than she don't trust Twilight or her friends and believes than only her can help him with his traumas; is really nice see that and i hope see more interactions of Miranda with the rest of Mane6.
