Professor Charles Hoofington is a great inventor and explorer. Or he would be if the family curse, handed down father to son for generations, didn�t keep causing his inventions to explode or his expeditions to become lost. But can he and his loyal stallion-servants, Sterling Silver and Stanley Steel, along with Twilight Sparkle, work past that to complete a task set by Princess Luna herself- investigating the Everfree Ruins, to see if it is possible for the princess to reclaim them as her personal palace, away from the hounding press. In order to complete this task he will have to face manticores, a haunted ruin and an old friend...

I drew the cover image my self, which is why its rubbish. Its supposed to be a representation of Charles' cutie-mark, except the scroll goes through the cog. But whatever.
I think you did a great job with this fanfic, congrats! But it has a lot of errors and the usual common typos in there, just some minor mishaps is all... I give it 2.5 stars. I don't usually comment on stories, only first timers, and the most I have read are only 3 stars worth. But great job BTW!

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, i figured there was a lot of errors in that, my dyspraxia makes writing hard for me and spotting the mistakes harder. Half the point of writing this is to improve myself. 2.5 stars is better than i was expecting to be honest, but then i am a half empty person, so a half full score is perfect! Will make sure to check out your stuff as well.

Just by reading the first chapter comprised of just over a thousand words, and a pony with a mechanical eye, I can already tell that if you keep on putting more and more work into it it will be an end result of a great story!

Chapter 2 now up. We are not going to see luna again for a while, so enjoy it whilst it lasts. There may be some mistakes in it, if you can point out the worst that will be awsome.
Chapter 3. This one was hard to write. I think i am running out of steam. But i will finish this, if its the last thing i do.
edit- just gone through the previous chapters and neatened them up a little.
I realised whilst writing this chapter (4 for those who care) that i had never shown charles inventions going boom. Talked about ot, and evan seen the after effects of it, but never had anything blow "onscreen" as it were. Well not only do a get an exploding toy, but you get to see what the eye can do as well.
Also, changed the rating to teen so i can have the occasional swear in it. Hope nobody minds.
edit- damn, the chapters are getting shorter and shorter. need to fix that.
Not bad, looks like you just need to get yourself going into a flow.
