Pony with a Pen

Sometimes, I wonder what it would be like to not write about ponies. When I have those moments, I write about ponies.

One thousand years is a long time to keep a memory alive, especially one so filled with pain and regret, but some things are worth remembering. After all, somepony has to tell her story.

Set before the events of Season 1

No comments!? Well, then I will. I liked this retelling of the "Mare in the Moon" and Luna's fall. It read like an oral storytelling should. Hopefully someone does a YouTube telling of this(I'm looking at you Illya Leonov), it's that good and it deserves it. I'd kind of like to have a second one telling of her redemption by our pony storyteller. Liked and favorited.

I am curious if Celestia and Luna walked over after the story and answered the foal's questions. Would Luna tell them "Yes the tis made of the cheese! We were very gassy for weeks after our return!"

This reminded me of the oral tradition-style stories in Frank Delaney's novel "Ireland". Great job on the prose here.

I appreciate it, thanks! :pinkiehappy: Someone on YouTube read one of my previous stories, and I'd love to see that happen again. I'll consider writing a sequel, but it probably wouldn't be the story of Luna's redemption. I really enjoyed the ancient aspect of this story, and I'm not sure if I'm willing to give that up. So I'd most likely tell the story of how the storyteller's family came into possession of Luna's amulet.
