Whenever the girls need to deal with a magical problem, whether major or minor, they "Pony Up," gaining pony ears, tails, and an easier way of controlling magic. And as far as they know, they're the only ones to ever do this.

However, what happens when we add Twilight's dog Spike into the mix?

Further more, what if he doesn't go through the same process as the girls?

I feel like the concept of Spike's "dragonify" should happen for real in the show.
It would be a huge waste if the writers didn't apply it.
I mean, its kind of unfair that Spike is the only one from the group(I say technically he counts as part of the group) to not get anything(like transformations or something aside from just being able to talk)
Pretty much it feels like nearly all the time, Spike is just.. there.
While dragon Spike at least had potential to contribute to something(at least if the writers allow it. While not being stuck as a dog when in the human world), I feel like Spike in the human world got really restricted in what he could do due to being a dog(doesn't help that theres the old "no pets allowed" thing which makes dog Spike end up missing out on sometime at times from what I could remember)
The writers could have at least have Spike be able to "dragonify" to make up for really limiting his potential on what he could do in Equestria Girls by making him a dog. Yeah, Spike being a dog is pretty adorable but still I feel like he is limited pretty badly in what could he do. From what I could remember through out the whole series, dog Spike(be it the equestrian counterpart as a dog or the human world counterpart) only did like 2 things that did a difference to the plot(as in getting the girls out of that locked room and dog Spike's sad face causing Midnight Sparkle to slip up for a second which allowed Sunset to beat her).
Just wished the writers could have done more.
