I'm not surprised, but it still hurt that it ended so coldly with no resolution other than a quiet, painful admission.
Sadly I think it's something a lot of people can relate to on some level, and it hurt reading both parties.

And yeah, when I wrote that, I was pretty much in the same state of mind as Sunset, I think.
I usually prefer fun stories, but in this case, I just didn't see the resolution to that one (or didn't want to see it), so I left it as a simple statement. But yeah, it's kinda depressing, my bad

I assumed you were sympathizing as Sunset, and it's an awful feeling and not only easily comforted or argued, and fanfiction is a great outlet for those kind of feelings you can't say out loud.
And I saw that you're out of the fandom and not writing much, but you know... if you'd ever feel up to it, I really (really) recommend writing maybe something of a sequel to this, not even to post but just for yourself. There is something therapeutic about writing a character you know and love get the comfort that you feel you don't deserve yourself. Speaking from experience.
