I noticed a nice Bojack reference.
I'm not sure what I think about this thus far. The opening paragraph was pleasant, but as I read on it just felt off or far different. Hearing about things that he thought, well, I think it would have worked better to incorporate it into the story at a later point. Not telling us that he now thinks differently, but having that arise later; perhaps in conversation, maybe seeing the actions taken by another and Silver shunning the choice. I'll get around to reading a few more chapters later, I suppose. Just to see if things get... better?

Only the opening line is a Bojack reference, every other chapter's opening line is also a reference to something. But for the most part, the characters and some of the events are based off of people I know/knew and things that have happened to me. Silver's dad is based off of my own father (edgy as heck I know) and the cybernetics are based off of a couple of shoulder surgeries I've had that ended up reinforcing the bones to some degree.In truth, there's going to be a lot of references to a lot of different things, but very few to MLP just because there are far fewer quotes there that fit the situations coming up. In fact, I may actually reference the original Fallout Equestria, Project Horizons, and Heroes. More than just the setting that is. However, the next opening line will be a Red Vs Blue reference, and a running joke somewhere in there if you're a fan of that series.
But thank you for the advice, if it won't throw off my writing style entirely, I'll try to put it into effect.

So, as I'm sure anyone that's read this has probably figured by now, some bad stuff's been going on in my life. Between a move and a bunch of personal drama thanks to an older worse friend that's not in my life finally, it's been a pain to find any extra time. Thankfully, now that that's over, I can start writing more again.
