Interesting story for sure. I can't wait to see where this will go. It is interesting since in this story Spike is a child when honestly most times I tend to think of him as a teenager just small because he is a dragon.

Well, do remember, he was said to be a baby dragon when the show started out, and no episode in the show has dictated otherwise yet. If the newest episode, Molt Down, has done this, don't tell me, I know it's Spike centered episode, but I haven't seen it.
Anyways, based on the fact that when Spike was first hatched when Twilight was a little filly, and it seem as if 7 years or more had gone by, and he was still considered a baby, that led me to theorize that Dragons age a lot slower than most other creatures in Equestria and beyond.

Oh I agree I think Dragon's age slower than Ponies do for sure. But I just personally always didn't picture dragon's growth as linear as Ponies. Seeing how dragon's can go from 'baby' to adult in the matter of hours with their growth. I also can't help but think of maturity as not being the same as his title as baby. Sure to a Dragon he might be a baby, but his mentality and maybe even age in pony years he could be older than a child. Even Zecora, when I went back to rewatch the growth episode. Said Dragons grow by their collection not by age. So I always took it as Dragon's mature much faster than ponies due to them having to seeing how age isn't really a factor for their growth but their collection. But this story him being a young child works very well for its flow and development.

I am still in the thinking stage with the next chapter. It is going to continue. I just don't want to rush things, nor do I want to drag things out. Trying to find the middle ground in my head still.

Thanks for the new chapter, glad to be able to read it, thank you. I enjoyed this chapter a lot, can't wait to see whats to come next. I have a few thoughts, 1, is that the dragons know the girls are there and thats what they are talking about and in next chapter the girls come out of hidding and start to hang out/learn more about dragons along with Spike or 2, something bad is gonna come and try to hurt the dragons and Spike's gonna try and fight them off and the girls are gonna jump out and fight by his side to help the dragons and after they all learn more about dragons lol
just 2 short idea's that poped into my head after reading this chapter
